Has to concede weight all round but has won last two at Hereford and Market Rasen and form in both cases looks good. Big player.

Age: 6|  Weight: 11-4| J: Alain Cawley| T: R Hobson| OR:  115

Winner at Perth last month on first start for this yard over similar trip, probably going to require a bit more to follow up in this.

Whatmore96
Age: 5|  Weight: 10-12| J: R Johnson| T: H D Daly
7/4
Encouraging start to hurdling career when 7L second in Leicester novice event over this sort of trip in January, concern that he ran out in only start since at Exeter in February but perhaps shouldn't be heavily judged on that.
4

33/1
Gone well enough in two bumper outings to date to warrant some consideration for this jumping debut, market may reveal more.
5

Juste Pour Noust,v145
Age: 4|  Weight: 10-8| J: T Scudamore| T: D Pipe
10/1
Fair winner on the Flat and performed with credit last month on hurdles bow at Kempton. Should go well for switch to bumpers.

Mahari334
Age: 4|  Weight: 10-8| J: J E Moore| T: Kerry Lee
3/1
Useful Flat performer in France, left Andre Fabre for €280,000 before being gelded, is a very interesting recruit to this sphere and one to note.

Forecasts

Whatmore (7/4), Ramonex (5/2), Mahari (3/1), Gris De Pron (8/1), Juste Pour Nous (10/1), Forbidding (33/1)

Verdict

Whatmore showed a kink in his armour at Exeter last time when running out, but he could still have a major say in this if that was a one-off, having previously shown a good level of ability on hurdling debut. Ex-Andre Fabre inmate Mahari commands respect and would do so even more greatly if attracting support but this might go the way of top-weight GRIS DE PRON, who has already scored at Hereford and Market Rasen and the form looks decent in both cases.
  1. Gris De Pron
  2. Mahari
  3. Whatmore
