Four time chase winner in the past but sole success in 2017 came in a point-to-point when sent off odds-on favourite at Charing (good-to-firm) last time out. Cheekpieces worn last time replaced with a visor (1/4 wearing it) and has a tongue tie fitted for the first time here.
Veteran took this event in 2016 and winner of all three of his point-to-point outings in 2017. Two most recent successes have come on good-to-soft ground at Eyton though strength of those small field races is questionable.
Winner at Brocklesby Park (good-to-soft) and High Easter (good) in point-to-points this year but disappointed when only second at Fakenham (good) in a hunter chase last time out. Blinkers replace cheekpieces today and remains of interest with a top jockey booked once more.
Justified odds-on favouritism at Cottneham (good-to-firm) in November but beaten three times since. Finished 20L second to an impressive winner over an extended 2m6f (good) at Stratford last month but this drop in trip should suit and wears a tongue tie for a first time here.
Won twice over 2m4f this season including at Mollington (good) over last time out. Has placed over 3m in the past but all bar one of his wins to date have come over 2m4f. Jockey has plenty of experience of riding around this track.
Forecasts
Amigo (2/1), Never Complain (11/4), Gauvain (3/1), Bound For Glory (11/2), Dont Do Mondays (7/1)
BOUND FOR GLORY can take this lady riders event here for her regular rider Hannah Lewis. The partnership finished runner-up at Stratford last time out and can get the better of the teenager Gauvain who took this race in 2016 with Never Complain, a winner at Mollington last time out taken to finish third with a useful amateur booked to ride.
