Remains a maiden after a dozen runs, most efforts have been tame including recent return to action on the Flat at Clonmel (2m1f, good, good-to-firm in places) and is hard to recommend here.

Finished fifth of 13 over 3m at Cork earlier this month, beaten 36L and has a good deal of improvement to find if going to score.

Has placed six times in seven starts over timber, boasts an experience advantage on many of these rivals but has to rate as a concern that he's not managed to get his head in front already.

7/2
Scored on bumper debut and showed promise in first two runs over hurdles. Has gone the wrong way since and blinkers failed to have much effect at Cork recently. Cheekpieces back on now.

50/1
Well beaten in two bumpers, latest at Naas in January 2016, having twice gone off 33/1. Makes hurdles debut now on return from 487 days off.

Point-to-point winner has struggled in both rules outing, including last month in 2m maiden hurdle at Tramore when pulled up. Goes up significantly in distance this time.

6/4
Very disappointing when sent off short-priced favourite for 2m4f maiden hurdle here in November. Given connections, a much improved display now is not hard to envisage with tongue tie added.

50/1
Failed to complete in four point-to-points so far, twice falling. Makes rules debut here and hard to fancy on that evidence.

Age: 5|  Weight: 11-12| J: I J McCarthy| T: M Fahey
33/1
Beaten 55L in a bumper over 2m2f at this track late last month, has a good deal of improvement to find going over timber for the first time.

Forecasts

Coeur Joyeux (11/8), Senewalk (6/4), Gettysburg Address (7/2), Cher Why Not (20/1), Tourboy (33/1), Qui Bono (50/1), Rudy Catrail (50/1), Back In Black (50/1), Time In Boston (50/1)

Verdict

Confidence behind Senewalk would be hard to ignore given his connections and there will be no surprise should he leave November's debut run at this track well behind. He's liable to be short in the market however and so it might be worthwhile giving a chance to COYER JOYEUX. He's placed on multiple occasions over timber already and might finally get off the mark now tackling this trip for the first time. The remainder are not a strong supporting cast, with Gettysburg Address perhaps most likely to come forward.
  1. Coeur Joyeux
  2. Senewalk
  3. Gettysburg Address
