Tough filly who notched a quickfire AW double at Wolverhampton and Southwell in late March/early April. Ran well over a shorter trip here in April when runner up to Princess Nia and has remained in good form since, going down narrowly to the progressive Vuela at Doncaster a week past Saturday. Up another 1F, but not beaten for stamina at Doncaster (1m4f).
Stamina reportedly her forte, but was put firmly in her place by Vuela on the Tapeta at Newcastle in November. Absent since, this sizeable filly should fulfil her potential with time and she has some fairly consistent placed form in the book.
Dual C&D winner last year, including in the Final of the Summer Staying Series in September 2016, from a 5lb lower mark. Shaped with distinct promise on her return to action earlier this month when third to Moayadd at Chepstow and clearly a major player tonight.
Did well during the latter part of the AW season, winning over this sort of trip at Wolverhampton in February. However, this race is a stronger contest and she's up the weights having not run on turf since beaten at odds of 5/6 for Charles Hills at Brighton in August 2016.

Forecasts
Admiral's Sunset (5/4), Rosie Royale (3/1), Star Of Lombardy (7/2), Notice (7/2), Iona Island (9/2), Skylark Lady (8/1), Oratorio's Joy (10/1), Wassail (33/1)
A decent staying fillies handicap in which a number of the runners are likeable enough sorts. Star of Lombardy is tough and battled gamely against the progressive Vuela at Doncaster recently. Vuela was returning from an absence at Doncaster after comfortably seeing off Admiral's Sunset at Newcastle in November. The Hughie Morrison trained filly is a sizeable unit and should win a race sooner or later against her own sex, but the preference here is for course specialist ROSIE ROYALE. She ran a sound race behind Moayadd at Chepstow earlier this month, and that should have put her spot on for this contest, which was presumably the target.
- Rosie Royale
- Star Of Lombardy
- Admiral's Sunset
