Successful over 5F on his last two starts at Chelmsford (February) and at Windsor earlier this month. Up a further 4lb for that latest success in which he beat a few of tonight's rivals, but with a capable claimer booked to negate that rise.

Form tailed off from late summer last year, and finished only ninth of ten on his seasonal reappearance at Leicester last month (7F). Drops in trip which should suit and down 5lb in the handicap (for last two efforts).

Seven race maiden, but twice a runner up and posted an excellent effort at Windsor in April when finishing a neck second to Who Told Jo Jo (5F). Not so good latest when upped to 6F, but a return to this shorter trip should suit.

Placed on three occasions last year, including on Tapeta at Wolverhampton (5F) when last in action in December 2016. Gelded, but needs to improve for that cut and a gradual easing in the weights to a mark of 65.

Rattled up a seven day double on the AW during March at Chelmsford and Wolverhampton (both 5F), and not disgraced from higher marks since switched back to turf. A shade to find with Met By Moonlight on the evidence of their clash at Windsor last month.

Beaten just shy of 3L when fourth behind Fethiye Boy and Midnightly at Windsor earlier this month (also has previous Lingfield form with the latter named horse), so clearly not out of the equation with a sharper exit from the starting stalls.

Blinkers appeared to benefit (but still carried head high) when a 5L runner up to Zambezi Queen over 6F at Chepstow twelve days ago, but he weakened after making most to 1F out at Windsor more recently (behind a few of these rivals). Drop in trip could benefit, but it's now eleven career starts without success.

Eased a total of 6lb for three starts in handicap company, but that looks fair with little noteworthy promise offered, including when finishing seventh of eight to Otomo over 6F at Brighton two weeks ago.

Consistent on synthetics (third to Midnightly at Chelmsford in March), but others have generally proved stronger at the business end. Interesting to see how she handles turf (especially if remaining fast), and starts from a mark of just 59.

Forecasts

Midnightly (7/2), Fethiye Boy (9/2), Lightoller (5/1), Jashma (6/1), Secret Agent (13/2), Met By Moonlight (13/2), Dashing Poet (7/1), Tooty Fruitti (8/1), Pastfact (17/2), Exquisite Ruby (10/1), Kody Ridge (16/1)

Verdict

Little to split Fethiye Boy, MIDNIGHTLY and Jashma on their Windsor clash earlier this month, and a similar result looks likely tonight with all three horses drawn in close proximity to one another. Mitch Godwin takes a valuable 5lb off the back of the Ron Harris trained winner which effectively negates the subsequent rise in the weights. However, Rae Guest's filly is less exposed and having just her fourth career start tonight (second run in a handicap), so is worth chancing to extract her revenge.
  1. Midnightly
  2. Fethiye Boy
  3. Jashma
