Winner of three races for Jose Santos in 2015 but lightly raced over the past 18 months. Has clearly had issues and form yet to prove he is over those problems.
Largely disappointing since landing a Haydock maiden for Karl Burke. Did a bit better last time when runner-up in a race lacking depth so still has something to prove and would not want conditions to get any softer.
Lightly raced gelding who was poor last time when fitted with a first time hood which is quickly removed. Can be given a chance on his previous start if able to see out the trip and pedigree is inconclusive on that score.
Well suited to the stamina tests provided at Pontefract but remains without a Flat win since 2014. Has won here previously and few line up for this in better form.
Has shown little relish for hurdling this winter having ended her spell with David Simcock with back to victories at Chelmsford. Up 9lb for the latest of those which was gained with considerable ease. Has an obvious chance if enthusiasm for the game remains intact.
Winner of four AW races and one hurdle. Ran up to his best over hurdles at Wetherby last time and not dismissed with talented young rider on board.
Three wins in 2011-2012 but has drawn a blank since. Has flattered to deceive on a number of occasions since his last victory but may be capable of plugging on for a place once again.
Last Flat victory for Mick Channon came off a 12lb higher mark in 2014. Yard have revitalised apparently wayward horses in the past and the market has often been a guide to expectations.
Has won twice over C&D including this race in 2014. Advancing years appear to be catching up with him and it is now two years since his last success.
Well supported favourite when taking this 12 months ago off 5lb higher. Has barely troubled the judge since and latest effort was poor.
Winner of six races but on the decline since a Southwell success in November 2015. Attracted support last time before producing an improved effort despite hanging under pressure. Apprentice ridden that day and gets much stronger handling here.
Improved effort in this headgear combination last time and on second run over this trip. That was a slowly run race and this may be more of a stamina test. Overall profile shows she is difficult to win with.

Forecasts
Sir Pass I Am (3/1), The Quarterjack (7/1), My Mo (8/1), Madam Lilibet (8/1), The Lampo Genie (8/1), Tarakkom (8/1), Cold Fusion (10/1), Aristocracy (10/1), Taste The Wine (14/1), Work (16/1), Idle Talker (16/1), Tingo In The Tale (20/1), Tsundoku (33/1)
Most of these are exposed as moderate and there are few you would wish to rely on at the forecast odds. Aristocracy has moved to a yard that have done well with horses that have lost their way and have required a change of scenery. He would be one to check in the market. Madame Lillibet requires more of a test than this but arrives here on the back of another solid run at Pontefract last time. THE QUARTERJACK appeared to be on the way back when supported over a shorter trip last time. Another drop in the weights and the booking of a strong rider gives him an excellent chance ti get back to winning ways with his trainer having been back amongst the winners.
- The Quarterjack
- Madam Lilibet
- Aristocracy
