Very much at home over this trip and on fast ground and goes into this from 2lb higher than when scoring at Nottingham in July. This is his first handicap start in this class of race since then, so the signs are there that he could go close if capable of taking advantage of a decent draw.
1lb lower than when runner-up in this last year and only just held from today's mark at Nottingham in June. In good form of late on the All Weather, where her form is a few pounds inferior to what it is on turf and with the yard going well she looks likely to have a big say.
All his wins since 2013 have been over further than this, so likely to need a decent gallop to bring his stamina into play. Now 13lb lower than his last success, which was in August 2015 and went well from 5lb higher back there last year. Plenty to prove, however, trip-wise and also best on good or slower.
Made the runner-up spot once from six starts last year, but well held even on that occasion. Handicapper seems reluctant to let her drop too far and reappears here after a winter off. Probably best watched on this occasion.
Has got his nose in front just twice from 58 starts, both over shorter and when there has been juice in the ground. Has occasionally threatened at Wolverhampton in recent times and goes into this on a career low mark, but wide draw won't help and forecast fast ground a big concern.
0-14 so far but almost got home in front at Ripon (1m, good) last summer from today's mark. Conditions fine for him and unexposed over this trip. Yard also among the winners again and had excuses last time, though worth noting that he was sent off favourite for that stable debut (7f). Compensation may await but stamina to prove.
Ran plenty green enough in one start in each of the last two seasons and showed up a little better on his Redcar return last month. Now goes handicapping from a workable mark and could start to show more. Market check advised.
Didn't see the racecourse until March and she has had three quick runs since in maidens at this trip and more recently 1m. Well beaten in all three of them, but likely to begin to do better now. Precautionary market check suggested, though may still be best watched today.
Goes into this 7lb lower than when winning over 1m4f at Wolverhampton last year, but has not yet troubled the judge on turf. Despite that, he was sent off favourite at Thirsk last time but still well beaten. Dropped 4lb and also in trip, but the latter looks fine and from a decent draw he could get more closely involved.
Sole win from 31 tries was almost three years ago at Thirsk in an auction maiden event (6f, good to firm). Went close back at that venue from 13lb higher in a handicap (1m) in 2015 and again there over 5f last year from 15lb higher. Likely to struggle to see this out despite lowly mark.

Forecasts
Bling King (9/4), The Dukkerer (9/2), Sakhalin Star (6/1), Mrs Biggs (7/1), Midlight (7/1), Whitecliff Park (8/1), Shift On Sheila (16/1), Druid's Diamond (20/1), King Of Paradise (22/1), St Andrews (25/1), Dan's Hopeforglory (66/1)
A drop in grade can see Bling King get closer to the action, while Midlight and Whitecliff Park could both be on compensation missions after disappointing when sent off favourite last time. Druid's Diamond is a likely contender, but preference is for THE DUKKERER, who is on a very competitive mark and represents a yard in form, so she may be able to go one better than in this race last year.
- The Dukkerer
- Bling King
- Midlight
