Won for the first time the better part of two years when dead-heating for first at Ripon last month (5f, good to firm) and ran well enough to be a close-up fifth last time. No reason why he can't be competitive again, with stable among the winners, though he will have to improve to win.
Last win was in 2015 when trained in Ireland and closest he came to scoring for this stable was when beaten a head on his debut for them at Doncaster in September. Was also involved from the same mark as then at the same venue last time out, but he will find it tougher back up by 1lb and will need some improvement.
0-5 on turf, with all his five wins being on All Weather surfaces at 5f and 6f. Has now dropped 9lb for two runs since joining this yard and should now be entering calculations. Market check advised.
All three of her wins have been over the minimum trip, two coming on soft ground. Goes into this 3lb higher than the last of them at Nottingham in October and while she may be able to find a bit more, the forecast fast ground would have to be a significant concern.
Last success was by a resounding 4L at Wolverhampton in September (6f) from 10lb lower. Have to go back to 2014 for his three over wins, all on turf and with cut in the ground. Conditions therefore a sizeable concern for him in addition to this slightly shorter trip (has won at 1m2f).
His five career wins have been split between Catterick and Southwell, all over the minimum trip and a couple on fast ground. Has once won when fresh, as it the case today and starts here from 1lb higher than his best winning mark. Likely to be very competitive.
Won twice for Richard Fahey but was clobbered by the handicapper for winning at Ayr in June (6f, good to firm) from a mark of 70. Even so, went close from 79 at Ripon on second start for this yard (5f, good) but again held by the handicapper since. Now down by 2lb, with first-time headgear and a good draw she looks booked to go very close.
Without a win since April 2014 when rated 102 and now 26lb lower in the handicap after 23 successive defeats. Beaten just 1L from this mark at Musselburgh last time, so may halt the slide soon and could get involved.

Forecasts
Lucky Beggar (11/4), Tylery Wonder (11/4), Lydia's Place (4/1), Rose Marmara (6/1), Foxtrot Knight (7/1), Landing Night (10/1), Aguerooo (11/1), Sophisticated Heir (11/1), Appleberry (14/1), New Road Side (16/1)
A good start is important in these Wetherby sprints as they are quickly on the turn for home and ROSE MARMARA has the inside berth, a competitive mark and some first-time headgear fitted, so she may be able to take advantage. Landing Night has a few positives to his name and is not ruled out, while Lydia's Place should also be heavily involved after the form of her recent win was franked. Of the remainder, Lucky Beggar could not be begrudged another win after his persistence and a market check is advised regarding Aguerooo.
- Rose Marmara
- Lydia's Place
- Landing Night
