Disappointed last time when cheekpieces were left off. Aids refitted and now tackling a new trip. Best career effort came over 2m6f so every chance of a revival off a career low mark.

Had a lot going for him last time when he was tailed off. The fitting of cheekpieces is not always an encouraging sign with runners from this yard and he is best watched for now.

Winning point-to-pointer whose best form has come on a sound surface. Therefore it was a good effort from her last time to stay on for fourth in the Chepstow mud over hurdles. Has looked one paced in the past and she may need even further than this.

Has finished runner-up on his last six starts and is not one to rely on in a battle. A 6lb rise for his latest defeat makes him even harder to recommend.

Without a win under rules since December 2012 and would appreciate plenty of rain. Better effort last time but the form has been devalued since.

Pulled up in four of his last six starts but interestingly has won the other two - so can be a threat when all the pieces come together. Jumped poorly last time and this handicap mark may be asking too much.

Took advantage of a good handicap mark to score at Lingfield in March. Finished a well beaten second over 3m5f here last time in what developed into a war of attrition. Wisely given time since but questionable whether this trip, on ground as quick as forecast, will be a sufficient test.

Beat Veauce De Sivola here in March on bad ground over 3m5f. That was his first win in three years but he again ran well over 3m3f at Stratford last time when Mister Dick was tailed off. Trip looks on the sharp side but his front running style and positive attitude should take him close.

Forecasts

Copperfacejack (7/4), Veauce De Sivola (9/2), The Last Bridge (13/2), Kings Cross (8/1), Triptico (8/1), Mister Dick (9/1), Supapowers (10/1), Day Of Roses (14/1), Uncle Pettit (20/1)

Verdict

A few of these are ones to be wary of and it may pay to side with THE LAST BRIDGE who has an experienced rider on board. The trip is on the short side but, as a horse who likes to press on from the front, he might expose the obvious frailties of the majority of his rivals. Kings Cross is well handicapped on the pick of his form and this new trip may prove to be the answer to gaining an overdue success. Day Of Roses appeals as one who may be better than we have seen so far and market confidence would enhance his appeal.
