Three time winner who has been a shade disappointing this year, including over the winter in Meydan. Won a Group 3 contest last year so clearly talented and handicapper has dropped her to a lenient looking mark. Any rain would make her of interest and eye-catching jockey booking.

Two wins from nine starts. Latest of those came in a Class 4 contest at Ripon this time last year. Struggled in Listed company since then and doesn't look particularly well-handicapped.

Won a weak looking Class 3 contest at Brighton when last seen. Stayed on strongly that day so drop back in trip not the obvious move but she has a C&D win on good to firm ground to her name. Unlikely to want any rain that arrives and others probably on slightly better marks.

Impressive Newmarket winner on debut but hasn't built on that promise and well beaten on her latest two starts in Listed company. Handicapper has given her a chance but she must do better and drawn on the wing possibly not ideal.

One win from nine starts and yet to score on turf but running consistently well in defeat at least. Off-putting that she has been favourite or second favourite eight times in her career and only delivered once. Vulnerble for win purposes off a career high mark but rivals wouldn't want to give her an uncontested lead.

Two wins from 16 starts. Fair effort when fresh on her comeback run when winning a five-runner Chelmsford contest but that was a Class 5 and likely to struggle in this company.

Very disappointing favourite in a couple of AW starts at the end of last year. Won a Class 5 handicap at Lingfield last time but plenty more needed against these rivals and no certainty to be as effective on turf.

Raced handily when upped to this trip for the first time at Kempton last month when a runner up, but no match for Sibilance in a Conditions Stakes. That represented a fair comeback effort for a filly who contested the Group 3 Oh So Sharp Stakes at Newmarket as a juvenile in October 2016 and should progress this year but needs to prove she is as effective on turf.

Completed a hat-trick at Kempton in February but lost her chance from the stalls in a Listed contest at Lingfield in March. Should resume progress and talented claimer booked; he will have to be at his best if she is to score from out of the handicap.

Forecasts

Singyoursong (7/2), Aristocratic (9/2), Permission (11/2), Raven's Lady (11/2), Epsom Icon (15/2), Tegara (10/1), Tisbutadream (11/1), Ejayteekay (12/1), Sagely (16/1)

Verdict

EPSOM ICON has been dropped to a nice looking mark and considering she has proven herself in Group class, she should go well. Her chance would be enhanced by any rain that arrives and her trainer excels with his fillies. Aristocratic is usually thereabouts and may be up to recording another placed effort while three-year-old Tisbutadream is better than her latest effort and should be able to resume progress.
  1. Epsom Icon
  2. Tisbutadream
  3. Aristocratic
