12 wins from 49 career starts is a fine strike-rate and he performed with credit over in Meydan this winter, without managing to get his head in front. Has gone well on tight tracks before and his gate speed may be able to get him out of the trouble that he's been dealt with the draw. Not discounted despite having to concede weight all round.

Proved very disappointing on his return to action last time at Newbury and not without market support there either. Not won since 2015 and unlikely to want any of the rain that is forecast so questions to answer here, despite a nice draw.

Thriving last year and put up a respectable effort in the Chantilly Group 1 L'Abbaye last season, only beaten 2¾L. That form has been comprehensively franked since and he should run well considering he is versatile ground wise.

Keen going sort who won twice last year and always well suited by a speed test. Won around here last year over ½f further but would need a career best to take this and probably wouldn't want to see any rain.

Now at the veteran stage of his career and it's nothing short of puzzling as to why he has turned up here having struggled to place in Class 4/5 company on his last five starts.

Not won for over two years now and only made it to the racecourse three times last year. Has gone well here twice before but he's likely to need this run and may be brought along slowly this year.

Two-time winner who was twice a runner-up here last season, losing out by a neck on each occasion. Very disappointing on final start of 2016 when a well beaten favourite but he's better than that. Will probably struggle on these terms and no doubt he needs a career best but trainer's runner always warrant respect here and jockey's strike-rate of nearly 20% around here speaks for itself. May need the run.

Excellent effort here on Wednesday when well backed and blew his chance from the stalls a little that day. This race looks tougher though and while he's in good heart, a place is probably his best hope.

French import who ran well on yard debut in a Listed race at Cork. Failed to follow that up at Navan last time and likely to struggle on these terms. Any rain would be a bonus.
