Is a C&D winner last season and handles quick ground fine, so has those plus points going for him, and the form of the yard is much better than it was too. Fell when last seen out and was beaten at the time, but yard were going through a poor spell, and could bounce back here.
Progression looked to have stalled until last time out when he won a handicap chase with any amount in hand, jumping superbly and looking a natural it. Reverts to hurdles off the same mark here and if translating that form, will be hard to beat here.
Showed that the experience of his solid debut fourth at Huntingdon hadn't been lost on him when winning at Wetherby on latest start, showing a good attitude to win. Yard has gone very quiet since though, and hardly looks thrown in off this mark. Others preferred today.
Wins when his turn comes around and likely quick conditions fine, but likely to face some competition for the lead here (best when ridden from the front/prominently) and needs to eke out a bit more improvement after a 4lb rise for Chepstow win last time. Chances, but others more likely.
Gets plenty of weight from the others on handicap debut today, and latest third at Taunton was clearly a step in the right direction. Would still have a bit to find on that though, and may find this a bit too tough at this stage.

Forecasts
Cobra De Mai (5/6), Billy My Boy (3/1), Mr Kit Cat (5/1), Lord Topper (7/1), Kalaskadesemilley (12/1), Art Looker (50/1)
There should be a decent pace on here, as all six like to get on with things early. Preference is for COBRA DE MAI who goes back hurdling after an easy win at Warwick last time out. He looked one to follow over fences this summer, regardless of what he does here, but if he can show that same form today, might take some catching. Mr Kit Cat comes from a yard going much better now, and his last effort is best forgiven. He and Billy My Boy can fight out the places.
