Ran well on debut at Uttoxeter last June and looked one that would win a race or two, and may be one that's just needed a bit of time. Second (although well beaten) to Socksy at Towcester in March as well as she could have done, and may improve again today.
Easy winner of an Irish point-to-point in November and purchased at sales for £70,000 the following month. Nice enough introduction at Catterick in February but may want further than this before we see her full potential. Not discounted, but others preferred.
Belated racecourse debut for this one, and yard not noted for first time out winners. Can only be watched, with others much preferred.
Only the merest glimmer of ability on debut at Huntingdon but did weaken alarmingly quickly once the pace lifted, and can't be entertained as a likely winner here.
Form of debut bumper win at Ludlow hasn't worked out at all, but she's better judged on her fourth to Miss NIght Owl (winner twice since) at Aintree the time after. May have needed recent run after seven months off, and one of the more likely ones on hurdles debut today.
Low grade on the Flat but more than capable of winning, and recent efforts in that sphere bode well (a win at Lingfield and a second at Chepstow earlier this the week). Pedigree hardly screams "hurdler" at you, but she's presumably schooled fine and will be interesting to see how she fares in the market.
Best effort of her three so far came at Chepstow last time out when a respectable fourth to Majestic Moll, the better ground possibly responsible for that improved run. Needs to step up on that again on hurdles debut and others preferred.
Good looking mare that hasn't produced the goods on the track yet, but the rain-softened ground at Warwick last time wouldn't have helped her cause. Will do better but needs this for a handicap mark, where she'll be of more interest.
Has shown very little in three starts (two bumpers and a hurdle) and was starting to struggle when coming down at Stratford latest. Makes little appeal here.
Won a small Fakenham bumper on debut and was then chicked in at the deep end in a Listed bumper at Sandown, unsurprisingly outclassed. Related to two useful sorts in Klepht and Welsh Shadow and from top yard, should have a good future at the game. On the shortlist.
Forecasts
Big Penny (6/4), Whatzdjazz (11/4), Mistress Massini (7/1), Alameda (8/1), Rum Swizzle (8/1), Sugar Storm (14/1), Stupid Cupid (33/1), Listen For Me (40/1), Westello (100/1), Elizabeths Wish (125/1)
Plenty of likely improvers in here and WHATDJAZZ is top of that list. She may well take off now she sees some obstacles and can score at the first attempt over them. Mistress Massini has shown a reasonable level of form in bumpers and should get involved. Big Penny will want a longer trip in time but can pick up some place money here. Rum Swizzle and Sugar Storm are worth keeping an eye on with a view to the future.
- Whatzdjazz
- Mistress Massini
