4/1
Has turned a corner since being allowed to bowl along in front, following up his Stratford win with another solid effort the time after, fighting on well once headed. Will put these to the sword early and can't be allowed too much rope again. Every chance of the win.

Falling fast in the handicap after some poor efforts lately, being beaten big distances or pulling up on last four runs. Hard to win with anyway, and may need this after a break. Too much to prove at present.

Age: 5|  Weight: 11-8| J: James Best| T: R Woollacott| OR:  96

Fell at the last at Stratford when Deise Vu won (was booked for second) and has a bit to find with that one, and might find this ground a bit on the quick side after a good effort on soft ground the time before. Is at least open to improvement but on balance, others preferred.

Some pretty mixed form over hurdles when last seen, and has to be a worry that he's fallen a couple of times over hurdles (chase debut today). Yet to really catch fire and although suspicion is that there's a race in him, is passed over today.

Rude And Crude25
Age: 8|  Weight: 11-6| J: J E Moore| T: G & J Moore| OR:  94

Gone off pretty short prices last three but hasn't performed as expected, and has been well beaten in the end. Has looked a weak finisher whatever the trip and needs to dig in better at the business end before being considered.

Ladies Dancingp15
Age: 11|  Weight: 11-6| J: T Scudamore| T: C J Down| OR:  94

This will only be his fifth chase start but has got a bit of form over fences, finishing second at Newton Abbot last June. Likes this track (win and three places from six starts) and quick ground fine. On a good mark and not discounted.

Lined With Silver14
Age: 8|  Weight: 11-0| J: Matthew Batchelor| T: A Phillips| OR:  88
8/1
Two good efforts at Taunton in April means he's one of only a few that come here in form, and clearly handles quick conditions well. Concern would be the trip, as he looked short of speed at it last time out, but that aside, every chance in a moderate contest.

Age: 8|  Weight: 10-13| J: Benjamin Poste(3)| T: S Flook| OR:  87

Totally outclassed at Warwick last time out (although not disgraced) and better to concentrate on earlier efforts, although even they leave him short of what's required here. Still a maiden after 18 starts and looks unlikely to break his duck here.

Horse silk
Triggywinkleb,t14
Age: 8|  Weight: 10-12| J: R T Dunne| T: Mrs L J Young| OR:  86
22/1
As many letters as numbers in recent form, but it masks the fact she's useful when completing and her third to Innocent Girl at Taunton in March is as good a bit of form as any here. Clearly comes with risks attached, but isn't out of this if fencing proficiently.

No No Cardinalp14
Age: 8|  Weight: 10-9| J: T Dowling(7)| T: Mark Gillard| OR:  83
12/1
Tends to travel well in his races before finishing weakly, and finds little for pressure. Looked all over the winner at Plumpton three starts back but fell in a hole late again, and although he hasn't run badly since, something usually gets the better of him.

Accessallareasp14
Age: 12|  Weight: 10-9| J: R Johnson| T: S-J Davies| OR:  83
11/1
Tends to pop up once a year and gave notice his turn might not be far away with a reasonable effort at Market Rasen last time out (on rain-softened ground he wouldn't have appreciated). Conditions fine and may well hit the frame again.

Forecasts

Rude And Crude (3/1), Deise Vu (4/1), Lined With Silver (8/1), Shintori (8/1), Indian Rupee (8/1), Ladies Dancing (10/1), Accessallareas (11/1), No No Cardinal (12/1), Triggywinkle (22/1), Mr Cardle (25/1), Windy Writer (25/1)

Verdict

Plenty of old favourites reappear here and now that DEISE VU has found his stride he can win again at at track he's gone well at before. The others need to keep close tabs on him or he could open up a big lead here. Triggywinkle is hit and miss but would hold a great chance on the best of her form. Accessallareas is getting on a bit but is still capable of a good run on his day and may well take a prize home again.
  1. Deise Vu
  2. Triggywinkle
  3. Accessallareas
