0-20 under both codes and out of form over jumps of late. Best effort on the Flat was over this trip at Ripon in August (good), but need to see more from him before being able to recommend a wager.
Four of his five wins have been at around this distance, including last time out at Redcar (good). Up 6lb for that and this sort of mark usually finds him out, but could still be competitive.
Just two wins from 37 attempts and you have to go back 18 of the runs to June 2015 to find her last success over 1m4f (good) at Ripon. That came from an 11lb higher mark but she has rarely got competitive on the Flat or over jumps since and it isn't easy to enthuse about her chance today with doubts over her stamina.
Has won three times over 1m6f but is unexposed over this trip after just one attempt when he was a close-up fourth over C&D last August (good to soft). Better on a sound or fast surface, back on a winning mark and with a tongue tie now fitted, he might be able to leave his reappearance run behind. Market check suggested.
1-16 with her sole win being over this sort of trip at Wolverhampton in February from 6lb lower. No disgrace in her Pontefract effort last time and she should be thereabouts once again.
Runner-up twice in handicaps at around 1m last year for Michael Dods but has shown nothing for current yard and now steps up in trip for a third time in succession. Has a mountain to climb to get home against proven stayers.
6lb better off with Cavalieri for a 9½L beating by that reopposing rival at Redcar last month. Has shown nothing for a long time and unlikely to be able to rewrite the form book in this.
Dual 1m6f winner in 2014 and did win a Cartmel maiden hurdle last summer, but has long been on the slide on the level and while he has run well over C&D from higher marks, it takes a leap of faith to see him being good enough today.

Forecasts
Tonto's Spirit (2/1), Cavalieri (9/4), Dream Serenade (11/4), Kisumu (7/1), Lady Clitico (15/2), Midnight Warrior (9/1), Adrakhan (10/1), Crakehall Lad (14/1), Wayside Magic (16/1), Dizoard (25/1), Monzino (25/1)
Cavalieri is a thorough stayer and should be able to give another good account, but he is vulnerable after a 6lb rise for his Redcar success and the suggestion is MIDNIGHT WARRIOR. Ron Barr's gelding is unexposed over this trip, is back on a winning mark and should strip fitter for his reappearance run. Dream Serenade is another probably capable of getting involved, while those looking to take an each way chance in a race where there may not be many who get into it could do worse than Dizoard.
- Midnight Warrior
- Cavalieri
- Dizoard
