Sixth foal by Antarctique out of Scavenger, and a half-bother to a couple of winners in France. Stable an infrequent source of bumper winners, and declared a non-runner on intended debut at Hexham last month (25th April). Interesting jockey booking.

Has been held up in both starts in bumpers so far, but his recent 15L plus Bangor third to the impressive winner Juge Et Parti was definitely a step up on his debut at Hereford. Improving with experience and hails from a much respected yard. Non-runner when declared at Sedgefield last week (4th May).

Lost his place at halfway and soon beaten when finishing seventh of eleven on debut to Dubai or Not Dubai in a course (outer) 'junior' bumper in October 2016. Returns on different ground tonight.

Half-brother to mile winner Warfare. Made his debut on the Lingfield Polytrack (bumper) in March 2017, but was readily outpaced late in the race. Makes his turf debut on a sound surface hailing from a stable who have saddled previous winners of these type of races.

Forecasts

Skip (5/4), Rockalzaro (15/8), Boss Des Malberaux (7/2), Schlipf (11/1)

Verdict

Connections of these four runners will never have a better opportunity to record a bumper success. ROCKALZARO is the most experienced runner in the field and in truth he's probably no future star. However, with a slowly run race unlikely to suit him, it will be no surprise to see Will Kennedy set off in an attempt to make all of the running, and if getting the fractions correct, he's more than capable of galloping these rivals into the ground.
  1. Rockalzaro
  2. Skip
  3. Schlipf
