Hasn't won since September 2016 when taking a handicap chase at Stratford, but was switched back to hurdles at Wetherby last month seeking to exploit a lower hurdles mark. However, improvement wasn't forthcoming and has a welter burden to carry tonight.
Little promise in four spins over hurdles including on two occasions for this stable. Looks the type to do better in handicap company, but this opening mark of 99 looks plenty high enough. Non-runner at Sedgefield (4th May).
Placed four times but yet to win from nine starts over hurdles. His Musselburgh run in January was his best since joining this (much in-form) yard and if able to reproduce that effort could run well. Also declared at Kelso in a conditional jockeys event on Wednesday (4.25pm).
Has lost his way since his days with Alan King and was pulled up on each of his final two starts in the summer/autumn of 2016. Produced a midfield finish back from a break at Perth two weeks ago and has dropped a further 4lb in the weights. Ground should suit.
Made little impression since switched to handicaps (two starts), and could only finish sixth of ten over 2m4f at Market Rasen in March. Dropped 1lb, and in trip but hardly appeals as a winner in waiting.
Nearly took advantage of a reduced mark (78) when beaten ½L by Catchthemoonlight over C&D last month (good to soft). Up 5lb, but sure to race prominently and force all of the others to battle hard in order to get past her tonight.
Has been competing over fences lately, but struggled at his beloved Hexham last month. Getting rather long in the tooth nowadays, but drops to a mark of 69 now switched back to hurdles (last successful from a mark of 95 at Hexham in April 2014).

Stronger numerically, but not really in terms of depth. Final Countdown hails from a stable in form, but it remains to be seen as to whether this gelding will line up having also been declared to run at Kelso on Wednesday. Therefore, despite a small rise in the weights, MRS GRASS will again set out her stall to make all, and like so many of her stablemates is consistent enough at her level, and that might well prove to be good enough here on the basis of her fair effort behind Catchthemoonlight over C&D last month.
