In good form at present and followed up a solid second to the well-handicapped Valhalla at Taunton with a bloodless win over C&D last time out. Penalty makes life harder but proven under likely conditions and has to be taken seriously again.
Gained due reward for some consistent efforts when breaking the heart of Bardd and others with a good display from the front at Plumpton last time, never looking in any danger of being beaten. Needs a touch more here but in good nick and not discounted.
Nicely bred but didn't show much on debut at Ffos Las last month, and although he should do better in time, is one that's best watched today.
Interesting runner today in so much as he was a classy sort on the Flat for William Haggas (rated 100 at peak) but showed little in two starts for Tom George (pulled too hard both times). Now with new yard and not seen for almost 2 years, but notable they are persevering with him.
Quite highly tried in two starts so far, running a solid fourth to William Henry on debut but disappointing a little on latter start at Kempton. Needs to settle better but improvement likely at some stage and worth a look in the market today.
Useful on the Flat for Roger Varian but even better since being given a tongue tie and seeing some hurdles for current yard, winning two from two, despite Kempton race last time not being run to suit. Gives impression of more to come and no surprise if she made it three from three today.
Another that has shown good form on the Flat (rated 90) for Mark Johnston and as this one is a half-brother to the useful hurdler/chaser I'm So Lucky, may well take to game. Likely conditions fine but this is a hot little race to be making your debut in.
Winner on the Flat for James Fanshawe (rated 73) and has shown a degree of ability in two starts for current yard, but needs this for a handicap mark where he will be of more interest.
Not a bad effort on debut on the Flat back in 2015 but shown little in two starts since, and others are readily preferred today.
Low grade on the Flat and may well have stamina issues to boot over this trip on hurdling debut. Looks to be biting off more than she can chew.
Shown little in two starts so far and although not totally disgraced behind two smart sorts last time, can't be considered here.
Forecasts
Amour de Nuit (5/4), Talent To Amuse (7/2), Adrrastos (9/2), Mister Universum (13/2), Champagne City (8/1), Dare To Achieve (28/1), Ballyantics (40/1), Enmeshing (80/1), Chica Rapida (80/1), Lake Placid (100/1), Nenergy's Quest (250/1)
This card is brightened up by this cracking little novice hurdle, which wouldn't look out of place at bigger meetings than this. Let's hope the track are rewarded with a good finish, and TALENT TO AMUSE might just have enough in reserve to hold off some speedy Flat types. Unbeaten in two starts, she showed a turn of foot last time that will hold her in good stead this year. Champagne City is a useful recruit to the hurdling game and should make his presence felt. Both Amour De Nuit and Adrrastos have experience which will help as they try to defy their penalties.
