Has found her form with a vengeance recently, following up a comfortable Southwell win with a hard-fought one in a Listed event at Cheltenham, catching the faltering leader close home. Penalties to carry here but clearly a player with conditions to suit again.
Hasn't shown much in three starts in point-to-points but has joined a powerful yard since. However, bred to want even further than this and may not be seen to best advantage until doing so. Best watched on debut.
Did win a small staying handicap on the Lingfield sand back in February of last year and has shown some aptitude for hurdling, finishing in the places a couple of times, but would need plenty more to challenge the principals today.
Has shown very little in three starts to date and needs to up her game considerably here. Can't be looked at as a likely winner.
Second in a point-to-point and showed little on first start, but was in the process of running a much better race at Chepstow on latest start, falling at the last when looking to finish on the heels of the placed horses. Needs another step forward here.
Comfortable winner of an Irish point-to-point in February and has joined a top yard since. Bred to have a bit of speed as well as stamina and with trainer in such good form, is one of the more likely players here on debut.
Too keen on debut and then never got in the race on latest start at Carlisle. Needs this for a handicap mark.
Showed very little last season, two runs in bumpers and two in novice hurdles revealing little. No realistic chance on those runs.
Won a Wetherby bumper on her debut and has generally performed with credit in her three starts over hurdles to date, although disappointing when last seen out at Carlisle in February. Soft ground there a legitimate excuse and may do better today.
Best run of her three so far came at Exeter in March when a staying-on sixth (of eight) to Carnspindle in a novice hurdle. Step up in trip today a likely positive but needs this for a handicap mark where she will be more interesting.
Looked to have plenty of temperament about her on her debut at Huntingdon and although a little better at Chepstow next time, not enough to make her of interest here. Yard still going through a tough time too.
Forecasts
Brillare Momento (1/3), Pomme (3/1), Momella (5/1), Prospera Pascha (20/1), Flighty Filia (20/1), Better News (20/1), Hollow Park (40/1), Phoenix Firebird (50/1), Njorls Saga (150/1), Our Phillie Lily (150/1), Goingforamooch (250/1)
BRILLAIRE MOMENTO looks a mare that's going places at present and despite the penalties to carry, can come out on top in a race where plenty have a bit to prove. Momella may well do better today and can take some prizemoney home, along with Pomme, who should do better back on quicker ground.
