Verdict

Jumps trainers have a fair record in this contest having won four of the last seven renewals of this race and Alan King saddles both First Mohican and Who Dares Wins. The former has wins in him from this mark but will struggle from his wide draw. The latter however, looks to have a greater chance and appears to still be improving, with a fine third at the Festival his most recent effort; he could be well handicapped returned to this sphere. Blakeney Point looks progressive and is effective from the front but it's the other pace angle, WATERSMEET, who makes most appeal. He's proved a tough customer this winter and he should be able to put up a good show with Franny Norton in the saddle. There would appear to be more to come from Sea of Heaven but he could struggle from his wide draw while similar can be said for Golden Spear who gets the services of Ryan Moore.
  1. Watersmeet
  2. Who Dares Wins
  3. Golden Spear
