Winner once in 21 outings on the Flat but plenty of signs of ability when finishing runner-up in a first time hood on heavy ground over 2m at Plumpton in February. Finished 35L second to a useful rival in a four runner contest next time out and interesting on handicap debut.

Successful twice on soft and heavy ground in Ireland including in a 2m maiden hurdle at Gowran Park in November 2014. Well beaten in all four outings for this stable including in cheekpieces last time out and probably best watched at present.

Twice a winner in bumpers in France in 2015 but disappointing in five outings over hurdles so far including two in handicap company for this yard. Beaten 24L into fourth at Stratford last month but not written off just yet.

Successful on two occasions last season including over C&D on heavy ground in December and over fences at this track last month. Beaten 7¾L in a chase over an extended 2m3f on good ground last month and reverts to hurdles off a 5lb lower mark here.

Best effort in five starts for this yard came when finishing third of eight over 2m at Uttoxeter (heavy) in January. Finished last on the Flat at Lingfield in February and unseated his rider at the first at Chepstow on his most recent outing last month. Likely to find a few too good here.

16/1
Winner on the Flat in early 2016. Put in a career best effort over hurdles when finished runner-up on good-to-firm ground at Taunton over an extended 2m last month. Interesting on his handicap debut with predicted ground and trip both likely to suit.

Limited signs of ability in a bumper and three hurdles outings and beaten 41L when finishing ninth of ten on handicap debut at Chepstow last month. Has plenty to prove at present.

Won one of his 16 starts over hurdles so far. Beaten a short-head off a 1lb lower mark over 2m at Uttoxeter (good) in May 2016. Well beaten on his 2017 debut at Bangor in February prior to running well for a long way in a lady riders event at Huntingdon in March. Wears a tongue tie today.

Flight To Nowhere8
Age: 5|  Weight: 10-11| J: L Heard| T: R J Price| OR:  95
25/1
Well beaten off a 5lb higher mark on handicap debut at Huntingdon last month. Much better effort returning to novice company when beaten 10½L over 2m at Warwick (good-to-soft) eight days ago but more needed to take this.

Forecasts

Boston De La Roche (7/4), Looks Like Power (11/4), Comanche Chieftain (9/1), Prussian Eagle (9/1), Jolly Roger (10/1), With Pleasure (16/1), Matts Legacy (16/1), One Cool Boy (20/1), Flight To Nowhere (25/1)

Verdict

WITH PLEASURE can register a first hurdles success at the fourth time of asking in this opening contest. Trained by John Flint the gelding finished runner-up at Taunton last time out and can get the better of the twice raced top weight Commanche Chieftain who ran well on debut before being outclassed by a classy looking rival last time out with Looks Like Power taken to finish third here following a good third over fences off a higher mark last time out.
  1. With Pleasure
  2. Comanche Chieftain
  3. Looks Like Power
