Won here at Exeter on debut (over a shorter trip than today's) and that form is working out okay, with the second and third going close since. Didn't seem to act as well on soft ground latest start but back on quicker ground here, may bounce back.

Solid enough debut at Ludlow last month, finishing a close-up fourth, but that form probably not the strongest and yard not really associated with bumper winners. Others preferred.

Bred to do okay in the future when seeing a fence but last on debut at Chepstow in March and looks the sort to needs bit of time. Others preferred.
No stars in the family and the yard are 1-47 in bumpers over the last 5 years, so looks an unlikely winner on debut.

Point-to-point winner in December and purchased by current connections for £90,000 soon after. Showed enough on debut when a staying-on fourth to suggest he will find races but may not find this enough of a stamina test.
Just in front of Faint Hope (who reopposes here) when the pair were third and fourth at Ludlow last month, and although that was a step forward., he probably needs another one here to get involved with the principals.

Equus Amadeus15

5/2
Did better on second start when chasing home an easy winner in Not That Fuisse at Warwick latest, paying the price for chasing the winner and pulling hard by weakening late on to third. Chances here if settling better, and looks one of the more likely ones.

Forecasts

My Story (7/4), Equus Amadeus (5/2), Symphony Of Angels (7/2), St John's (5/1), Lapford Lad (16/1), Faint Hope (20/1), Just Another Vodka (20/1), Kauto Lingarry (25/1)

Verdict

Getting a bit of weight, EQUUS AMADEUS might be the one here. He performed with credit last time and the winner looked smart, and in truth this looks less taxing. St John's has the form in the book but has a penalty to carry and may have to settle for the places along with My Story, who is thr type to do better as he goes up in trip.
  1. Equus Amadeus
  2. St John's
  3. My Story
