Has plenty of ability but often makes mistakes in his races, and made an early blunder last time out, not helping his cause. Can look a hard ride too and although conditions fine, needs to be putting a clear round in before being backed with any confidence.

Was a C&D winner around this time last year, but that came off the back of a good effort and he's in no form at all at present, pulling up on three of his last four starts. Yard still quiet and simply too much to prove at present.

Well backed to make a winning return at Chepstow after a nine-month absence and duly obliged, despite a couple of sketchy jumps. Likely ground conditions fine but upped in trip tonight, which asks a new question of him. Not discounted but probably needs to find a little more.

Has to have decent ground to show his best, and can win when conditions are right as he showed at Southwell in December, but tends to ply his trade at a lesser level than today and may find one or two others a bit too quick for him.

Forecasts

Ink Master (11/10), Tempestatefloresco (7/4), Gowanauthat (4/1), Lemon's Gent (6/1), Purple 'n Gold (7/1), Gone Too Far (10/1)

Verdict

GOWANAUTHAT deserves another win for his consistency this year and he may well get one here, as his opponents all have question marks of some sort against them. If Ink Master has the stamina for this, he can prove the biggest danger. Tempestatefloresco wouldn't be without hope if he can cut the mistakes out.
  1. Gowanauthat
  2. Ink Master
  3. Tempestatefloresco
