Former Irish-trained runner who showed a marked improvement in form on his first start for this yard when toppling the favourite to win at Fontwell last time. Penalised for that, so will need some improvement to follow-up, but couldn't rule that out.
Has been competitive on several occasions without winning. Appreciates good ground and this sort of trip looks fine for now. Should be thereabouts in this field.
Showed a bit of promise on his debut for this yard at Exeter last month, but was unable to improve on that last time. This looks a tough assignment on the evidence of what we have seen so far.
Decent effort when runner-up in a soft ground Chepstow maiden hurdle two starts ago but couldn't go with them at Wetherby last time. Worth another try over this slightly longer trip and back on better ground he should be heavily involved.
Proving frustrating to follow, having made the frame in all but one start but not yet won. Doesn't seem to have much in the way of gears at the business end. Probably capable of winning one of these, but clearly vulnerable. Headgear needs to have a positive effect.
Outpaced in the closing stages and ultimately well beaten in both starts so far. This run should get him a handicap mark and once he has that, plus a step up in trip, he should be more interesting.
Forecasts
Zipple Back (6/5), Gibson Park (7/2), Alexander The Grey (4/1), King's Tempest (9/2), George Herbert (40/1), Danseur Du Large (100/1)
Alexander The Grey has conditions in his favour and looks like being very competitive in this, while Gibson Park is feared despite a penalty for winning last time. Zipple Back is proving frustrating for punters and the suggestion is to take him on again with KING'S TEMPEST, who will have a bit more time to get into gear over this trip and will appreciate the forecast good ground.
