Won over hurdles at a similar trip here in September and has added to that at both Bangor and Chepstow since. Well beaten from this mark (after a 12lb rise) at Chepstow last time out, though that could have been due to the soft ground. Interesting proposition on a sound surface on his chasing debut.
Has not added to his Bangor bumper win on debut but was running well enough when falling two out at Hungtingdon on his chase debut last month and couldn't go the pace over 2m last time. Interesting now tried over this trip and could be a contender.
Stayed 3m3f over hurdles, where all three of his wins were on good ground, his latest being from a mark of 123. Earned first win for this yard last time over C&D (soft) from 5lb lower, but clearly has more scope for improvement and should be in the shake-up.
Modest form in a bumper and three novices' hurdles, all on soft ground. Steps up in trip for this chasing debut and has plenty to prove. Probably best watched for today.
Heavy ground maiden hurdle winner (2m4f) at Ffos Las 14 months ago but could not work with the handicapper's assessment of him over hurdles and has so far struggled to do so over fences. A further 4lb drop will help in that respect, but that may still not be enough to see him prevail.
Won his debut bumper for Donald McCain, but not added to that so far over obstacles. Beaten just ½L on his Doncaster chase debut in November, he is now 2lb lower than that after three poor runs. Blinkers may help and not one to write off yet.
Won a Worcester maiden hurdle (2m4f, good) last summer but doesn't look like becoming one of his yard's leading lights on the evidence of subsequent handicaps. Yet to convince over this far, so has a bit to prove on his chasing introduction.
1-19 career profile, that success being a Market Rasen handicap hurdle 18 months ago (2m4½f, good) from 3lb lower than today. Only one worthwhile piece of form over fences and that also came over shorter than this, so the percentage call is to take him on again today.
Made the frame in a point-to-point, but has shown little over hurdles and despite being related to plenty of Irish jumping success, he has it all to prove first time over fences.

River Of Intrigue may not be the best that Nicky Henderson will train, but he still merits a market check from today's mark of 107 and a good run cannot be ruled out. Compadre is very interesting now tried over 3m, while Optimistic Bias is still well treated on his best hurdling form. However, there has been a fair bit to like about how COURT KING has gone about his business and we will forgive him his latest run and take him to win again this time.
