Cost £12,000, dam won over 6f as a two-year-old and is a half-sister to winners over 1m-1m2f, so very feasible that he will need a little further in time. Yard respected but may be better with at least one run behind him.
Highly respected yard is in good form, they went close with a similar debutante at Redcar on Thursday, so every reason to expect the son of Clodovil will be primed for his racecourse debut. Betting will be the best indicator as to where he stands with his stablemate, Guzman, in the pecking order.

Well related individual and looks the stable's main hope in this. Bred to get at least a sixth furlong, so another that may also be seen to good effect as he gains in experience.
Has the benefit of experience and showed a little improvement last time out. Handicaps beckon but could be interesting if backed in what appears to be a modest contest.

Cost €23,000 and is a half-brother to five winners that have scored between 5f all the way up to 1m3f. He was very green on debut and never managed to get competitive. Yard always dangerous to underestimate but this fellow strikes as one that already needs a little more time.

Super Major
Age: 2|  Weight: 9-2| J: A Mullen| T: M Dods
6/1
Cost €22,000, his dam was a winner over 5f as well as Listed-placed as a two-year-old. Yard capable of having one ready first time up so makes the shortlist as one of the more likely winners.

Cost US$30,000 and is related to winners on turf in the USA. His dam is a half-sister to 2009 UAE 2,000 Guineas winner Desert Party, so has versatility in his bloodlines. Yard is finding its stride just now, so merits serious consideration if supported.

Horse silk

Cost £12,000 and is a sister to 5f winner Orient Class - her dam also won over the trip, so positive on that score. His sire was noted for a preference for a bit of cut in the ground, however, so it will be interesting to see how the market reacts to his chances on the predicted going.

A €24,000 yearling, he is bred to be effective over slightly further; respected yard but others make a tad more appeal in the search for a precocious type.

Forecasts

Guzman (5/2), Just For The Craic (9/2), Chatburn (11/2), Super Major (6/1), Trusting Friend (7/1), Seen The Lyte (9/1), Danehill Desert (11/1), Kikini Bamalaam (12/1), Star Of Zaam (16/1), Orient Princess (25/1), Progressive Jazz (25/1)

Verdict

Several of these will do better over further, so it may be best to concentrate on those with more speed in their pedigree, with SUPER MAJOR heading the list as a likely type on paper. His yard is adept at having one ready and wouldn't need to be anything special to get off the mark at the first time of asking. Trusting Friend also appeals on breeding and is worth a look in the betting, while Guzman runs for a top yard and also makes the shortlist as a viable alternative. Just For The Craic may be the best of the rest.
  1. Super Major
  2. Trusting Friend
  3. Guzman
