Spring Lodge Stakes (Handicap) (Formerly The Suffolk Stakes)

Scored three times last year, all over a little further than this. Proved a little disappointing when last seen over hurdles but very much respected back in this sphere and yard have been in good form this week. Ground versatile and not ruled out if he handles this track.

Already had three runs this season but has failed to make the frame so far. Fair effort when fourth of 11 last time and did his chance no favours when hanging left, as many do on the camber at Epsom. Has won on undulating tracks so shouldn't have too much of an issue around here but trainer/jockey have a low strike-rate when teaming up together.

Lightly raced individual who looked progressive last year and produced a career best to win at Doncaster on seasonal reappearance when ridden a little differently to normal. The return to likely faster ground and a longer trip could bring about more improvement and very much respected with this man in the saddle.

Ridden too far back at Doncaster in the Lincoln last time and best efforts have come when front-running. May come on for that run and no doubt he'll enjoy the step back up in trip so likely to go well for a yard in flying form.

Got his career back on track over the mile here last time on return from a significant absence. Entitled to come on for that effort and the extra furlong unlikely to be any sort of issue, as he was running on in the closing stages here last month. Slight concern about the "bounce" factor but plenty to like about his chances.

Probably more effective on the AW to turf and he showed very little last season. Comeback run was okay at Wolverhampton but there's a concern his best days are behind him and he could struggle against younger, more progressive rivals.

Not seen since finishing eighth of nine in a Listed contest here in the Autumn. Looked progressive prior to that but Moore likely to have had the option and he prefers Ballet Concerto, entirely possible she will need her comeback run too.

Keen going sort and could have got his head in front if he had settled better on either of his last two starts. Proven on a track with undulations having won at Epsom in the past and not without a chance if everything clicks but he's not straightforward and he can miss the break.

Four-time winner on the AW but has failed to score on turf in eight starts to date and he was very disappointing at Epsom last time. Needs to improve.
