Won at Beverley on debut despite racing keenly early. This is a very different track but he could be the one to beat if acting on it, especially as the form of that debut race if working out well, with the third winning since.

Won on debut at Bath last time out despite not starting the race well at all. Difficult to get a handle on that form (most haven't run since) but he beat a well-regarded favourite there and should go well here.

Beaten into sixth on debut at Newbury, but went down by only 3¾L despite racing keenly early. Interesting to see how he does now with the benefit of a run.

Beaten favourite on debut at Pontefract last time out but may have blown his chance at the start, when he showed signs of his inexperience. More needed here but he could have the most improvement in him of any in the field.
Makes his debut and is by a sire who can produce precocious two-year-olds but yard isn't renowned for its juveniles and could do better with the experience of this under his belt.

Mutanaaseq (11/8), Jim Rockford (11/4), Bengali Boys (3/1), Sinaloa (7/1), Story Minister (14/1)

Verdict

This is difficult to judge despite the small field because all the competitors have had one run at most. BENGALI BOYS won at Beverley on debut despite racing keenly in the early stages, and the form of that race is working out well with the third having won his only start since. This is a very different course but as long as that doesn't prove to be a problem he could be the one to beat with a top apprentice in the saddle. Muntanasaseq, another debut winner who goes for a top two-year-old trainer, is feared most, ahead of Sinaloa, who blew his chance at the start on debut but shaped encouragingly.
  1. Bengali Boys
  2. Mutanaaseq
  3. Sinaloa
