Certainly ended last season on the up when winning two races over a mile one a maiden and the other on his handicap debut off a mark of 76. Came back from his winter break to finish a very solid second to an impressive winner at Beverley and may get the run of things here.

Headgear (cheekpieces) and a step up in trip are interesting here as this one tries to bounce back from a very laboured run last time out over an extended 7f at Beverley. Both those factors may help although the mark in the high 70's looks stiff enough.

Showed some solid form as a juvenile improving from her debut effort when taking a Carlisle maiden on her second start. Turned in another good effort when second on nursery debut at Ayr over a mile before disappointing stepped up in class ay Pontefract on her final start. Looks as though she may need some cut in the ground and this surface may well be a little too quick for her on her return.

Winner of a minor event at Redcar (7f) in August to break his maiden on his third start and followed that up with a sound enough run on handicap debut looking as though a return to further than a mile would suit. Disappointed on his last run of the season (came quickly after handicap debut) and the hard race there may have taken its toll.

Non runner at Redcar on Thursday and although he showed some reasonable for m as a juvenile he'll need to show some improvement on his handicap/seasonal debut.

Didn't really look to make a run-to-run improvement as a two-year-old and although he returned with a good run in a Thirsk maiden he looks short of scope in handicaps.

Forecasts

Election Day (4/5), Euro Nightmare (6/1), George Reme (7/1), Kuraka (7/1), Davy's Dilemma (10/1), Jamacho (14/1)

Verdict

It may well have been a decent horse that ELECTION DAY bumped into at Beverley and time may well tell that his effort there was a decent one. Davy’s Dilemma has the look of one who can win handicaps although he might just need the run here while the headgear and increased trip could well see George Reme step forward. The Dalgleish yard are rather quiet at the moment but his Euro Nightmare can’t be forgotten here as she looked a capable filly last year.
