Related to a few winners and bought for €26,000. A tall rangy sort he has bags of scope and is better than his form figures suggest. The ground would have been wrong last time but two prior efforts at Ascot set the standard with the yard's horses going well at present.

Makes hurdling debut having shown a modest level of ability in bumpers. Yard are 1-36 with hurdlers over the past five seasons.
Bought for 25,000 gns having won once and been placed seven times in Germany. Performed at Listed level so of obvious interest in a race that will take little winning. Stable are 10-29 at the track.

Bought for £55,000 having easily won three of his four point-to-points. Sent off favourite for his last two runs in bumpers but should come into his own now hurdling on quicker ground. Yard are 10-35 with hurdlers here with a further 12 finishing second.

Old Harry Rocks (5/4), Lovato (13/8), Talkischeap (15/8), Burst Ya Bubble (9/4), Global Ruler (4/1), Good News (20/1), Keepyourheadup (33/1)

Verdict

Old Harry Rocks and Global Ruler represent top yards who are in form. Both are nothing out of the ordinary and the latter will probably be a false price having finished second to a less than enthusiastic rival last time. Lovato is interesting having run in Listed company on the Flat in Germany, whilst Burst Ya Bubble is better than his bare form suggests. TALKISCHEAP is a triple point-to-point winner for a yard who do well with their hurdlers around here. Backed as though possessing plenty of ability in each of his bumpers, he can begin his new career with a victory in a race which is not as competitive as it looks.
  1. Talkischeap
  2. Old Harry Rocks
  3. Lovato
