Beaten favourite on three of his last four starts now, and not seen out since pulling up in a maiden point-to-point in February. Conditions fine and has performed with credit over this C&D previously, so still a player in a weak contest.
A staying-on fourth to Holly Flight two starts back was a solid enough effort in the context of this race, and likely conditions fine, but does now need to bounce back from a disappointing effort at Tramore last time.
If showing the form that saw him run a close second to Give Us a Copper at Cork in a bumper last March then he's going to be the one to beat, but does need to put a poor effort at Thurles on his last start behind him. Has to better than that, and is on the shortlist.
Looks useful enough on breeding and these conditions likely to prove fine, but yard a little quiet over the past couple of weeks and unless strong in the market, is probably best watched today.
Didn't show too much on the flat for Clive Brittain back in 2015, and even less for new yard in two starts this year. Needs improvement from somewhere.
Not disgraced in any of his three starts to date, and the way he was staying on at the business end at Hexham last time suggests this extra couple of furlongs won't go amiss. Can't be discounted in such a weak event.
No form in three point-to-point efforts and did no better over hurdles last time. Others hold far stronger claims.
Has failed to complete in four starts so far, showing signs of temperament last time when running out in a point-to-point. No realistic chance.
In good hands but hasn't shown much in five starts over hurdles so far, although form in bumpers would give him every chance here. Not seen out since January and may prefer slower conditions than he's likely to get here. Not discounted, but others preferred.
May find this trip taxing enough on her debut, and already tongue-tied. Breeding suggests she'll be best at speed tests and best watched here.
Did a little better on her latest start, finishing within shouting distance of the winner at Tramore and the tongue-tie applied for the first time here may eke out a bit more, but still plenty to find to get involved with the principals. .
Forecasts
Classic Place (11/10), Westland Row (2/1), Atlantic Breaker (7/1), Ballyhowne (12/1), Notorious One (14/1), Goin My Way (16/1), Sally Wing (20/1), New Stream (25/1), Steel Shadow (33/1), Beeper's Ruby (33/1), Supreme Ambition (40/1)
In the hope that he can find his bumper form again, CLASSIC PLACE is given another chance in a race that will take little winning. It's possible he found the combination of a staying trip and heavy ground too much to handle last time and is worth another try. Notorious One seems to be taking small steps forward on each run and can get in the money along with Ballyhowne.
