Upped his game to open account at Kilbeggan on reappearance last month under today's rider and could be on the upgrade.
Second over C&D in November on hurdles bow in what has turned out to be an average maiden hurdle, improvement demanded on first start since.
Mare was off the mark belatedly at Tramore last month in good style having previously lost a race in the steward's room. Has decent claims of following up in this with the champion jockey booked for the steer.
Two excellent efforts since return from a break, just denied at Fairyhouse early last month before readily opening his account over C&D and could be more still to come.
Mare has had her problems but she was decisive bumper winner at Naas in March and essentially backed that up with good third at Punchestown nine days ago, player here if translating the form to hurdles.
Easily won a Limerick maiden under this rider in March on second start since arriving from France. Could well have plenty more to offer and should be figuring in the finish.
Has failed to sparkle in three runs for this yard in maiden hurdles, most recently when beaten 73L at Down Royal on Monday. Limited hopes in this line-up.
Form in two maiden hurdles last month was well below what should be required for this and was beaten when unseating rider at Down Royal on Monday.
Forecasts
Look Closer (2/1), Little Folke (5/2), Bluegrass Princess (4/1), Bold Emperor (6/1), Creative Talent (8/1), Bensachuine (25/1), Oromo (100/1), Sierra Law (100/1)
There are plenty in with chances in what appears to be hot little race. Little Folke got off the mark in good style at Tramore last month and probably boasts the best form in the book coming here while it would be folly to discount recent C&D winner Look Closer in his attempt to follow up. Bluegrass Princess has some potential for place money now reverting back to hurdles but the selection is BOLD EMPEROR, who easily grabbed a Limerick maiden last time out on just his second start since arriving from France. There could be more to come from him and he can land this intriguing contest with some further improvement.
- Bold Emperor
- Little Folke
- Look Closer
