Last seen when down the field behind On The Fringe in the 2016 Foxhunters' Chase at this track. Has winning form between the flags and under Rules, but is not getting any younger and has his long absence to overcome.
Formerly a fair hurdler, he is now making his mark in hunter chases and point to points. Won by 20L at Stratford last time and is one of the leading contenders.
The winner of 14 of his 32 point-to-points and three of his 18 starts under Rules, he retains his form well and was not disgraced when second at Mollington last time. Needs a personal best to win this, however.
Slightly disappointing when only second of three at Lydstep last time, having previously finished mid-division when favourite for a hunters' chase at Taunton. Questions to answer at the moment.
Ex-Irish point-to-pointer who has winning form in that sphere. Short on experience, but likely to make his presence felt.
Won a maiden hunters' chase at Leicester in February and ran respectably to be third to The Flying Doc in a point-to-point at Mollington last month. Connections are respected and he is one of the more fancied runners.
Action-packed career which has featured two turf Flat wins, two hurdles successes, an AW Flat victory and nine point-to-point wins. Won a point-to-point at Whitfield in March and clearly retains plenty of ability.
Two wins and four placings in nine starts between the flags. Still young enough to improve and cheekpieces are fitted for the first time.
Decent record in point-to-points and showed he was in good nick when winning a weak three-runner contest at Lockinge last time. Reliable and likely to run his race.
Sent off favourite when runner-up in a Siddington point-to-point when last seen in March. Fairly consistent and should not be too far away.
Has failed to complete on his last six starts and connections reach for the visor in a bid to end that miserable run of failures.
Has won a bumper, two hurdles, a hunters' chase and four point-to-points. That record, and a recent success at Chaddesley Corbett, earns him plenty of respect and he is likely to go well.

ALWAYS ARCHIE represents a good jumps yard and his recent easy success at Stratford makes him the one to beat. Well Mett is reliable and looks sure to run his race, while cases can be made for Rye Cross, Kristian Gray, Lauberhorn and Knockaderry Flyer.
