Riddlestown arrives seeking to complete a hat-trick of wins on a track where he has an excellent record. This will require a career best and he faces a couple of rivals in KAYLA and Horace Hazel who have plenty going for them. The latter has gone well fresh previously and the jockey booking is interesting. He has dropped below his last winning mark following lacklustre efforts last autumn when he was probably past his best. KAYLA is a similar type who has won on her second start back from a break in 2015 and 2016. She returned after a nine month layoff at Market Rasen last time when she was weak in the market. Her rider did not knock her about following a mistake just after halfway and it is anticipated that she will repay the kindness here.
