Strong showing on debut at Catterick in February (soft) when keeping on well to down a field of twelve which included the subsequent winner Golden Jeffrey (third). This 16,000 gns purchase seems certain to hold all of the aces under the champion jockey if proving as effective on a slicker (but well watered) surface.
Comfortably held on both starts so far, but showed minor improvement (never nearer) when one of three representatives for his owner (also responsible for the runner up Cool Mix) in an Ayr bumper won by Pym last month. Needs to do more but this is overall a weaker event.
Regally-bred individual, but considering he went through the sales at 140,000 gns a as a yearling, it has to be disconcerting that he swapped hands for just £2,000 as a three-year-old. Has shown little in both starts to date, including at Market Rasen last month, and his trainer isn't known for saddling too many bumper winners.
£6,000 purchase at Doncaster in August 2016, this Exceed And Excel gelding looked very much in need of the experience when seventh of nine on debut at Market Rasen last month (Naasik fourth). Likely to be better with time, but readily opposed tonight.
Second foal mare out of Lucinda Lamb; from a family with a strong record in bumpers. This half-sister to Tom Lamb soon weakened on her debut in this race twelve months ago when a mere fifth of six to Royal Supremo. Subsequent absence a concern.
A midfield finish on debut at Carlisle early last month in a race won by Court Affairs implies that this filly would need to improve plenty to take a hand here. Cost £6,000 as a three-year-old, but on pedigree should clearly handle the forecast decent ground.

Brecon Hill (4/9), Judge Earle (7/2), Kick On Dottie (15/2), Rockalzaro (8/1), Strong Team (40/1), Bah Lamb (50/1), Naasik (66/1)
BRECON HILL has a penalty to carry for his debut Catterick success, but that form puts him head and shoulders above what these rivals have achieved to date. The booking of champion jockey Richard Johnson is an added bonus, with the only slight question mark being his ability to handle a slicker (but well watered) racing surface.
