Ran very green on debut at Beverley last month in a novices' contest, though still well beaten at an unfancied 66/1. Connections now opt to drop him in to this grade, though is likely to need to show more even to win this mediocre event.
Proved virtually unsteerable when green and last of seven, beaten 23L, at Lingfield last month. A great deal to prove even though dropped to this basement grade.
Has struggled in both starts to far, being last of four at Southwell and then failing to beat a rival home at Beverley, being over 44L behind over the two contests. Dropped to a seller now and cheek pieces added, but getting home in front of at least one opponent looks to be the short-term challenge.
Dam was Listed-placed and a 7f-1m4f winner, including as a juvenile, and a half-sister to Listed-placed 6f-7f winner Tagula Sunrise and 7f-1m 2yo winner Pacific Paddy. Lowly start for a filly from a top yard that is doing well with its juveniles this season, so likely that she is able to go well.
£3,000 purchase. Half-sister to 5f winner, out of a French 1m winner. Didn't show much in the way of ability on her Windsor debut last week, being outpaced and tailed off last of 12, beaten 32L. Dropped in grade today and looking for some improvement.
Comfortably held on all three starts over similar trips in France during the past six weeks, though the form of her latest effort represents the best of any of these so far and therefore entitles her to plenty of respect. Cheek pieces added and should go well.
€12,000 yearling. Half-sister to two 2yo winners, including at this trip, out of a 1m 2yo winning half-sister to a 7f-7.5f Group Three winner. Made a quiet debut at Ripon a couple of weeks ago when never really involved, but likely to improve a fair bit for that here and could collect some prize money.
Forecasts
Our Little Pony (15/8), Popsi (7/2), Tie Em Up Tel (7/2), Society's Dream (6/1), Placebo Effect (8/1), Glen Valley (33/1), Paulamey (50/1)
A very poor start to the afternoon, where there will need to be significant improvement from several of these even to figure in this grade. The suggestion is to side with OUR LITTLE PONY, who makes her debut from a top yard whose juveniles are going really well. She is related to winners and would have to be nothing special to get her head in front first time. Popsi has achieved most on the racecourse so far and is a danger, while Society's Dream is another who can go much better than last time.
