Perhaps a bit ambitious tackling the Fred Winter at Cheltenham previously, best of his form gives him a decent claim in a race like this.
Off the mark at the fourth time of asking over timber in 2m maiden at Tramore last month, this will require a good deal more if rivals perform as they ought to, but could improve again.
Another coming here off the back of poor show in the Fred Winter at Cheltenham, was fancied for that competitive heat on the back of wins at Ludlow and Market Rasen before Christmas but was found to be lame afterwards. If he's back to his best, has a leading claim in this.
Interesting starting point for Art Connoisseur gelding, trainer has been a little quiet of late, remains worth noting in the betting but will need to be above average to score on debut.
Yet to win in two hurdles starts but ran a very promising race at Leopardstown over Christmas behind the mare Meri Devie, greatly respected reappearing here for shrewd yard.
Montjeu gelding who cost 575,000 gns as a yearling, underwhelming start for this yard at Navan last month. Will surely prove better in time.
Bit to find with Landsman on Leopardstown debut, since been asked very tough questions in graded contests at that track and Fairyhouse. A much better showing here is not ruled out for this talented ex-Flat performer.
No win in eight hurdles starts but has some decent form to his name, not least a good third to Ex Patriot at Fairyhouse in January. Solid again at Tramore last month, needs to up game to get the win but has place claims.

Landsman is an interesting contender based on his decent showing at Leopardstown on debut in December, form that reads well now, and his trainer knows a bit about placing one for a race like this. Linger was found to be lame after his Cheltenham Festival flop and, if recovered, will pose a big threat to all concerned but with enough room for doubt, SWORD FIGHTER might be the value call. He hasn't set the world alight over hurdles but has already been asked some tough questions and given his ability on the Flat, better is surely to come. Dodgybingo and Ineffable are also considered in an open race.
