Failed to beat a rival on his debut for his new stable at Cork after joining from Sylvester Kirk in England. Has plenty to prove following that disappointing display.
A regular on the AW at Dundalk, this filly tries her luck back on turf. She has to be respected, but looks high enough in the weights.
Looked out of sorts when last of 14 at Navan last week. The drop back to 5f will be in his favour, but he is passed over until he shows a return to form.
Justified 3-1 favouritism when sent over to Lingfield last time following a string of solid efforts. Has not won in four starts on turf, but it is too soon to say he does not act on the surface. Looks a big player given his rich vein of form,
Has been in good form on the AW at Dundalk, so it will be interesting to see how he adapts to the return to turf. on which he has not won in 15 starts.
Returned from a 10-month lay-off to be second at Cork a fortnight ago. He does go particularly well fresh so improvement is not guaranteed, but he clearly is one of the more likely sorts.
Ninth of 14 at Navan on his first start after being gelded. He needs to step up on that, but is not ruled out.
Has run only twice, finishing in mid-division at Dundalk before winning at Navan. Makes her reappearance at four, but is unexposed and hails from a stable which specialises in sprinters. Makes plenty of appeal.
Consistent performer who makes his first start since October. Might need the run, but is entitled to plenty of respect.
Campaigned on the AW at Dundalk before finishing ninth of 19 at Navan last week. Needs to find something to land this, but he seems in good spirits and is not dismissed.
Beaten under a length when third of 19 to PIllar at Navan last week. Of obvious interest following that effort, especially on three pounds better terms,
In good form lately and did well to get up close home at Navan. Tightly handicapped with Sweetest Taboo on that form and is much respected.
Forecasts
A Few Dollars More (10/3), Sweetest Taboo (7/2), Miss Power (7/1), Blairmayne (7/1), Strategic Force (10/1), Rattling Jewel (10/1), Go Kart (12/1), Pillar (12/1), Menelik (12/1), Mo Henry (20/1), Aggression (20/1), Dream Destination (40/1)
An interesting and competitive handicap in which the suggestion is MISS POWER, who represents a stable which knows the time of day with its sprinters. She is likely to rate a good deal higher in due course and may have too many guns for the in-form Menelik, Sweetest Taboo and Pillar.
- Miss Power
- Sweetest Taboo
- Menelik
