Anything but a consistent yardstick, he scored in good style over C&D last month, perhaps benefitting from better ground. Raised 8lb for that win but entitled to be in the mix if he's in a similar mood.

Fairly reliable performer over these obstacles, he was entitled to need the run at Newton Abbot recently and rates a threat now going back up to 3m with champion jockey on his side.

No joy last time in the Topham at Aintree but has won over this trip at Doncaster this season, showing good resolution to do so. Weighted to give this a real go if jumping holds out.

Decent chaser but hasn't really built on a promising second behind Calett Mad at Taunton in January, two runs at Ludlow over 3m since give him some questions to answer.

Is 6lb higher than when winning at Doncaster in January over slightly shorter trip, very disappointing at Haydock last month off this mark in 3m handicap chase but bounce back isn't ruled out.

Has been in excellent heart at this venue in five runs already this year, though just found new mark a bit too much last time over this trip. Drops 1lb now and has bit to find with Gallery Exhibition on that previous run.

Age: 9|  Weight: 10-0| J: A Glassonbury| T: R Rowe| OR:  108

Plumpton specialist whose form elsewhere isn't anywhere near as convincing and he looks opposable having been well fended off over his C&D in March on latest appearance.

Forecasts

Roc D'Apsis (7/2), Fort Worth (7/2), Gallery Exhibition (9/2), Cloudy Bob (5/1), Al Alfa (7/1), Long Lunch (7/1), Like Sully (16/1)

Verdict

LONG LUNCH is weighted to have a fair claim in this company on the strength of his Doncaster run in December over the trip. He can be forgiven last month's tame effort in the Topham and should be more at home in this. Gallery Exhibition recorded a nice success over C&D last time out and will be a threat in the same mood, though consistency of effort is not his forte. Al Alfa should be fitter having reappeared at Newton Abbot and can take some prize money while Fort Worth may leave behind a disappointing at Haydock last time.
