Half-brother to the classy US Ranger amongst others. Twice run well despite being a beaten favourite on each occasion including when 2L fourth of 14 at Navan over 1m2f (good) earlier this week. Cheekpieces worn on that occasion retained here.

Beaten 5½L when finishing runner-up over an extended 1m2f at Dundalk on his debut a month ago. Winner had placed in Group company prior to that and an interesting runner today.

Unraced gelded son of Jukebox Jury. Purchased for 26,000 gns as a yearling in October 2015 and a half-brother to the useful colt Pagino. Probably best watched on debut.

Beaten 32L when finishing last of 13 on debut over 1m at Dundalk last November. Started a big price on that occasion and a similar story looks likely today.
Unraced son of Nathaniel cost 500,000 gns as a yearling. Half-brother to useful middle-distance performers Sarah Lynx and Sugar Boy amongst others and one to note on debut here.
Finished behind Mauricio when fourth over an extended 1m2f at Dundalk on her debut a month ago. Will likely need to improve significantly on that to take this contest.

Forecasts

Homesman (11/8), Buffalo Blues (11/4), Mauricio (4/1), Steel Prince (5/1), Modern Approach (10/1), Peace Maker (33/1), Almontaser (33/1), Safepac Lad (100/1)

Verdict

MAURICIO ran well on his debut when finishing runner-up at Dundalk last month and he can make a winning turf debut in this concluding maiden race. Homesman has run well in two starts this season but hasn't looked entirely straightforward and he can register another placing by taking second ahead of Buffalo Blues who ran well on his seasonal debut in a handicap at Dundalk earlier this month.
  1. Mauricio
  2. Homesman
  3. Buffalo Blues
