Cost 60,000 gns as a yearling but proved a little disappointing in three starts as a three-year-old and has to give weight away all round on return. Either needs this to be a below par maiden or needs to have improved through the winter. Experience on his side at least.

Casamento colt, cost £80,000 as a yearling. Well beaten on both starts at Kempton but yard have started the season in good form and could be a different proposition now tried on turf if he has wintered well. Interesting player.

Kitten's Joy colt, cost 100,000 gns as a yearling. Full-brother to Group 3 winner Charming Kitten and he should be well suited by this test on debut. The concern would be the yard have been a little quiet.

Arch colt, cost $425,000 as a yearling and half-brother to several winners including Group 2 winner Zanjero. Suitable test on debut and yard have hit the ground running this campaign, looks the most interesting debutante in the field and holds leading claims.

Ran to a fair level on debut at Newcastle in November when finishing a close up third and the winner and runner-up have both come out and franked the form by winning since. Step up in trip shouldn't be an issue and trainer in flying form so plenty to like.

Moderate promise on debut but failed to back that up at Wolverhampton in November. Not been seen since and Derby entry looks a little hopeful at this point in time but it does point to this step up in trip being a positive.

Oasis Dream gelding, cost 205,000 gns as a foal. Excellent debut effort at Newmarket last week when dead-heating for the runner-up spot on good-to-firm ground. Entitled to progress from that and sets the standard on form.

Sea The Stars gelding, cost 130,000 gns as a foal and 200,000 gns as a yearling. Dam related to some Group winners but the fact this one has already been gelded isn't a good sign and may find the wide draw tough to overcome.

Cost a small fortune as a yearling (€720,000) but sold cheaply without running in November. Related to some winners but shown very little in two AW starts and likely to struggle here.

Cost €42,000 as a yearling but shown nothing in two starts to date. Step up in trip may help a little but hard to fancy and what he's shown so far and likely to do better over further in handicaps.
Minor promise on debut when very green but failed to follow up when sent off an odds on shot at Yarmouth last time. Market support that day suggests he has ability but will need to have wintered well if he's to take a hand here.

Only beaten one rival home in two AW starts and this looks like a tougher contest than either of those. Up in trip but will have better chances of getting off than mark than this, most likely in handicaps.

Forecasts

Oasis Charm (2/1), Mutarabby (2/1), Splash Around (7/2), Mudajaj (10/1), Caramuru (16/1), Park Paddocks (20/1), Nathan Mayer (25/1), Lord Kitten (33/1), The New Master (33/1), Stragar (100/1), Somes Sound (100/1), Pinnata (100/1)

Verdict

MUDAJAJ wasn't a cheap purchase but he's a beautifully bred colt and this test looks suitable on debut for a yard that have had a solid start to the campaign. Oasis Charm will no doubt be popular amongst punters after his excellent second at Newmarket and he can go well again. Mutarabby's Newcastle form has been franked since and he should learn plenty from that effort.
