Only win on the Flat came in 2015 when trained in Ireland (7f handicap) and hasn't really shown much since including over hurdles. 4lb lower than that solitary win but still hard to know what to expect.

Showed some solid form last year not what you would call overly progressive but very much did his job in his own was winning two starts over this sort of trip. Mark has crept up to the high 70's now and probably needs to find a little extra from somewhere to figure here although he does travel strongly in his races.

Two-from-two since joining this yard although the yard itself is rather quiet at the moment. Both wins have come over this trip and further but she's never won off a mark this high and may just be better on the AW.

Completed a hat-trick in the first part of 2015 with all three wins coming over C&D in the space of six weeks. That winning spree forced him into better class races where he struggled a little and did look on a couple of occasions less than straightforward. Drop back into a 0-75 on his final run of the year signalled a return to form but this is a slightly better grade again than he's used to and he might just need this also after a long break.

Already opened his account for the year with a win at Doncaster over 1m2f off a mark of 69 under today's rider. Things didn't go to plan on his subsequent run off a 5lb higher mark when a beaten favourite at Brighton and could yet have more to offer at this trip.

Four of his last five runs have been on the AW and he's registered the following form figures 1131 with wins at Wolverhampton (twice) and Kempton Park. His most recent run confirmed that he could also handle the turf and he finished a solid third over 1m2f perhaps not quite having the run of the race. Could be better when the emphasis is on speed rather than stamina at this trip but not one to leave out of calculations.

Has won over C&D in the past and in fact that was his initial win. Gained his only win last year over shorter and ran some creditable races afterwards without looking as though he was going to add to his winning tally. Return run this year was just at a fair level and he faces some better types here.

Looks to have very much gone backwards since winning a mile maiden on the AW for his former yard. Two runs for this yard have shown very little and the blinkers go on here for a try over a new trip.

Panko (5/2), Caponova (7/2), Boycie (7/2), Kingthistle (5/1), Captain Courageous (6/1), Zain Arion (9/1), Belle De Lawers (12/1), London Glory (20/1), Framley Garth (20/1), Theodorico (20/1)

Verdict

A modest finale to the card but there are still a few here that are of interest here although nothing that really stands out as overly progressive. KIngthistle has been consistent of late and his yard has been in good form so he looks one for the shortlist along with Panko who travels well in his races. Capanova could be sparked back to life by a return to this C&D with Belle De Lawers and intriguing contender. BOYCIE looked good when winning at Doncaster and with things not going to plan last time out he’s worth another chance here in a race that looks very similar to the one he won at Doncaster.
