Scored over 3m2f on his rules debut over fences last year but unable to follow up over a variet of trips, including an 8L second to Frodon over 2m, since then. Appreciates decent ground. goes well fresh and has already run well here, so still plenty going for him with stable flying.
Fontwell novices' chase winner last season. Unable to add to that from nine further starts, racing mainly at around 2m4f. Fast ground is no problem and he is usually competitive, so no reason why that won't be the case today with jockey's claim to assist, but is thoroughly exposed.
14lb higher than when landing a Doncaster handicap hurdle last season. Handles a sound surface, though unproven on quicker. Was probably in the process of running his best race over fences when unseating at Wincanton last time, so not ruled out from the same mark.
Landed back to back novices' hurdles in 2014, though hasn't added to those in 11 subsequent runs. Runner-up on three occasions since, including from today's mark at Uttoxeter in May (2m4f, good). Could go well with stable in good form, though yet to win when fresh.

Forecasts
Tempestatefloresco (6/4), Such A Legend (10/3), McCabe Creek (10/3), Orbasa (7/2), Degooch (9/2), Fingerontheswitch (10/1)
Orbasa might be able to bring to an end his losing run with a 7lb claimer up to lighten the load, though this is far from certain, while Mccabe Creek is perhaps the most interesting of the others, as he was going well when tipping up last time. Degooch should be involved and Such A Legend would be more interesting if backed, but he would have to buck the trend of needing a run or two after a break to win this. Preference, therefore, is for TEMPESTATEFLORESCO, who does go well after a break, is versatile regarding trip and may still be open to improvement.
- Tempestatefloresco
- Orbasa
- Degooch
