Showed a degree of promise here on debut when a staying-on fourth to Oakley Hall but showed he'd learnt plenty from that when winning a Cork bumper next time with any amount in hand. Faces likely different ground conditions here but has to be on the premises again.
Only needed to be nudged out for his debut bumper win at Fairyhouse in January and, stepped up steeply in grade, ran a cracker in the Champion Bumper, sticking well to the task to be beaten 3L. Yard have a good record in the race and must have a say in the finish.
Hosed up on debut at Cork in a bumper last July, travelling well and finding plenty when asked to go and win his race, but absence since has to be a concern. That form needs improvement anyway, and so has a bit to prove now.
Showed plenty of promise in only start to date when third to Billy's Hope (who will be well fancied by many to run a good race earlier on the card) but that was back in 2015 and having not been seen since; is surely best watched.
Didn't seem to run his race when well beaten behind the classy High Bridge at Newbury in a novice hurdle on his latest start, but did lose a shoe and that may be a valid excuse. Best judged on earlier Uttoxeter second on debut but still a bit to find on that.
Promising start to his career when staying on well from the rear (in a race that suited those closer to the pace) to claim second behind the well-regarded Bullionaire, and wouldn't need much more to get involved with the principals here. Should be up to taking some prizemoney home.
Hard to weigh up, having had just the one start at Pau and finishing third in a hurdle there, but represents powerful connections. Is related to a few winners and may want further in time, but any market move needs to be heeded.
Forecasts
Next Destination (4/5), Midnight Stroll (4/1), Catwalk King (13/2), Dead Right (8/1), Sir Carno (11/1), Rathcannon (14/1), Cherokee Bill (22/1)
Both Catwalk King and NEXT DESTINATION have shown a good level of form already, but with Willie Mullins having such a good record in the race (three times a winner of it) and no ground qualms, preference is for the latter today. Sir Carno needs a market check and Midnight Stroll has already shown promise as well.
