Well placed to win three races this season, all at around 2m4f and over fences. Handicapper has her firmly in the grip in that discipline, so now switches back to hurdles on a lower mark and over shorter. Should still be capable of making an impact.

Comes here chasing a hat-trick after wins both at Hexham and here over C&D in March. Up a total of 10lb for those successes, but appeared to have plenty in hand last time and will be tough to topple here.

Won a mares' novices' contest at Huntingdon earlier in the season (2m3½f, good to soft). Has been unable to to add to that in a couple of disappointing runs since. May come back to form on better ground (won a bumper on good) but has a bit to prove.

Won a Ludlow bumper on debut (heavy) last season and began well over hurdles this term. Lost her way at Sandown when stepped up in class, but reasonable effort again last time. Whether she will have the pace for the drop to 2m remains to be seen, but with tongue strap on and 10lb claimer to help she might.

Fontwell bumper winner in 2015 (good) and went well back at that venue in a maiden hurdle a year ago. Has been unable to build on that promise in two recent outings and looks one to take on this time.

2m and good ground is right up her street and she is just 2lb higher than when scoring at Worcester in August. Pulled up on recent return after a break, but was entitled to need that and no reason why she can't have a say today.

Forecasts

My Little Cracker (6/4), Royal Debutante (3/1), Jennifer Eccles (6/1), Twenty Eight Guns (8/1), Ginger Fizz (8/1), Miss Spent (8/1)

Verdict

Twenty Eight Guns is more attractively weighted in this discipline than over fences now, so if she can run up to her ability then she has a squeak, although the shorter trip is a concern. MY LITTLE CRACKER had a fair bit more up her sleeve when winning last time and given that she is on good terms with herself, she gets the nod to complete the hat-trick, while Royal Debutante is interesting with her jockey's big claim. Ginger Fizz is another likely to be thereabouts.
