Dual sprint winner last season with one of those wins coming over C&D but that was in a much lower grade (0-60) albeit off top weight. Mark has slowly crept up then on the back of two further wins (both over 5f at Newcastle) and some other consistent runs. Not quite in the same form last time out and never won off a mark this high.
Winless for over three years now and way below his highest winning mark of 102. Looked to be an interesting recruit for this yard that has a good record with sprinters (especially cast-offs from other yards) but they have yet to totally find the key to him. Ran a solid enough race last time out over 6f at Redcar off this mark and one to keep an eye on here back over 5f.
Stable has a good record with sprinters but this one looked a tricky sort for his former trainer and he's also flattered to deceive for his current yard. Very much below form under a change of tactics last time out over 5f at Wolverhampton (made running) and still looks one to treat with caution with the tongue-tie going on for the first time.
One of a couple of out-and-out front runners in the race so she won't get an easy lead here although her mark is now dropping down to one that's workable. Win over C&D came as the middle part of a hat-trick when she was a juvenile a run that probably led to her starting life in handicaps off a mark that was too high.
Last win came over C&D off this mark (rated much higher on AW) but has looked a little below par in the AW of late. Has a tough draw here from out wide and will face a contested pace but does come from a stable that has had a sparkling start to the season.
Drawn in the box seat here in stall 1 if he can use the draw starting life for a new yard. Has been in good form of late on the AW over 6f in claiming company but has never won a handicap on turf over 5f and possibly better on an AW surface.
Losing run stretches back to August 2014 when he was successful off a mark of 90 over 6f at Thirsk. He's shown flashes of that old form since then on a few occasions and without any headgear ran one of his better recent races last time out again at Thirsk over the same trip. The handicapper is giving him a chance but it's clear he's not as good as he was.
Can be a quirky sort and comes back from a long absence here after winning on his last start at Redcar over 5f when he was well handicapped. Starts out back off a 3lb higher mark and hard to know what to expect after such a lengthy absence.
Useful performer as a juvenile winning twice at Doncaster and Catterick over 5f on his second and third starts and probably ran his best race when sixth in the Redcar Two-Year-Old Trophy. Drops back in trip here taking on older horses for the first time but comers from a yard that does well with this type and an interesting contender.
Makes his handicap debut here taking on older horses for the first time after winning on his last start as a juvenile over 5f at Newcastle in first-time cheekpieces. Headgear retained here on his seasonal debut but has the widest draw of all here to overcome and this looks a tough task for him.
Last win came back in October 2015 in a small field seller on the AW making all. Subsequent runs all in handicaps have shown signs of life and the handicapper is giving him a chance but this is a fairly tough handicap and the double figure draw is hardly a help.
For all his foibles he's been in good form of late although he still has the ability to deceive in a finish. Did manage to win on his penultimate start on the AW over 5f off a mark of 59 but usually plies his trade at a lower level and this may well be step too far.

Lucky Beggar (11/4), Compton Park (9/2), Lydia's Place (13/2), Perfect Symphony (7/1), Spirit Of Wedza (7/1), Bosham (8/1), Lawless Louis (8/1), Poppy In The Wind (14/1), Windforpower (14/1), Tarboosh (16/1), Ticks The Boxes (25/1), Thatcherite (50/1), Space Artist (50/1)
Some interesting sorts in this competitive handicap with the three-year-old Lawless Louis one of those as he makes his return from a good sixth in a good quality juvenile race. A contested pace looks likely here and that may compromise the prospects of Lydia’s Place, Spirit Of Wedza and Bosham. Both Compton Place and LUCKY BEGGAR have both been given a chance by the handicapper and the latter looks as though he may be able to end his long losing streak here.
