Showed plenty of speed on all three starts last year, but appeared not to get home when tried at 7f on final start, so drop back to 6f here looks a positive. Yard among the winners and jockey booking suggests a big run is in order.
Some solid efforts to his name already, including a decent midfield finish in a valuable sales race at Newmarket in October, and should win races this season. Slightly below form on final start and may need this first run of the year.
Not out of the frame in six starts as a 2-y-o and will handle conditions fine, but wasn't really progressing towards the end of the season and looks more exposed than a few here already. Not discounted, but others are preferred.
Winner at Nottingham in September and then ran much better than finishing position suggested at Windsor on final start as he was poorly drawn. Looks ready for a step up to 6f and is one of the more interesting ones today.
Form of debut third at Ascot has worked out very well, and he duly made light work of a simple task at Southwell on his latest start. Leaves the impression there's plenty more to come, and opening handicap mark looks fair.
Best run of last year arguably came when upped to 7f on final start, staying on well late to grab fourth, so step back in trip not necessarily a positive, and already looks more exposed than a few here. Others hold stronger claims.
In the frame on all three starts as a 2-y-o, although possibly a bit disappointing on final start at Wolverhampton. Should do better this year (wasn't seen until October) but may need this first run of the season.
Consistent if unspectacular in four starts to date, and has raced a bit keenly on occasions, so needs a solid pace to aim at. Didn't improve for going into handicaps last time and suspicion is that others hold stronger claims.
Won one at Hamilton for Karl Burke last year but showed next to nothing on first start for new yard and although they have the odd big-priced winner here, this one looks unlikely to add to the total.

Forecasts
Trick of The Light (5/2), Etikaal (11/4), Comprise (5/1), Nibras Again (8/1), Parys Mountain (17/2), Stanhope (9/1), Supreme Power (10/1), Sitar (18/1), Halawain (20/1), Edged In Blue (25/1), Percy Toplis (150/1)
Plenty of these will do better this year, and choosing between them today isn't easy. COMPRISE just gets the vote after an easy win on the Fibresand last time out, but his turf form is solid and he can take this en route to better things. Trick Of The Light can be forgiven his final effort of last year and can go close, along with top weight Etikaal , who may appreciate a return to sprinting.
