Looked a transformed horse when a 5L winner of a moderate 2m4f handicap chase here last month (Under The Red Sky second, Verko third and Trouble in Paris fourth). Up 6b (fair) and 4F in trip as he bids to follow up but reasonable prospects of doing so now that those jumping errors have seemingly been eradicated.
Four time winner over fences, but unquestionably a shade quirky. Attractively weighted, but put firmly in his place by Orioninverness and Under The Red Sky (latest) and steps back up in trip to 3m. Wears cheek-pieces for the first time.
Veteran, and off the track for over 12 months since being pulled up in a Carlisle Hunters Chase in March 2016.
Has posted an F and two P's since winning over an extended 3m1f at Catterick in January 2017. Possibly a 9lb rise for winning such a weak race was an over-reaction from the assessor, and a clear round/finish looks the probable main objective today.
Nine race maiden (0 from 7 over fences if including Point-to-Points), and whilst his best form has come over this sort of trip in his Irish days, he finished no better than mid-division when upped to a staying trip at Sedgefield earlier this month.
Frustrating sort who can be relied upon to run his race, but lacks some resolution at the business end. That said; he's picking up valuable placed prize money along the way, and he's closely matched with Verko (a shade to find with Orioninverness) if truly putting his head down for the battle over this longer trip. Owned by course Chief Executive Robert Whitelock.
Longstanding maiden and hasn't shaped like threatening to break that status in six starts in England, so best avoided despite the bonus of a talented 7lb claimer aboard.
Won from a 15lb higher mark at Wetherby in November 2015, but has looked out of love with the game lately, and impossible to fancy as a result.
Stablemate of Verko, Major Ridge and Longueville Flyer, but has been pulled up seven times from thirteen starts since last successful in April 2014. Wears first time-cheek pieces.
A two time winner for Julia Fielden during 2012 and 2013, but didn't manage a victory despite plenty of attempts for Sandy Forster since September 2014. Off since November 2016 (pulled up) and many questions to answer on stable bow.
A ten race maiden, but well backed when falling at the first at Newcastle in early January so presumably had shown shown something at home. However, again let down by his fencing when pulled up at Carlisle the following month (first run over 3m), so a watching brief advised despite a falling mark.
Trainer has been unable to 'unlock the code' to this veteran in over four years since last successful at Uttoxeter in February 2013. Beaten a country mile by Delusionofgrandeur at Wetherby last month. Little conceivable chance.
Has rather lost her way since winning over hurdles at Wetherby in May 2015 (dead heat) from a 5lb higher mark, but did show a glimmer of light when second to Flemi Two Toes at Southwell in December. Has appeared unsuited by fences so far, and bypassed as a result.
Raced as many times in Point-to-Points as under rules (nine each) and despite being regularly amongst the minor placings since winning at Whitcliffe Grange in March 2013 remains a rules maiden.
Course winner who is slipping back down the handicap to a very workable mark (now rated just 72), but has had a disappointing campaign so far with more than enough opportunities to show improved form.
Longstanding 32 race maiden who can often be relied upon to travel well and then snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Held (fourth) behind Orioninverness, Under The Red Sky and Verko over 2m4f here recently, and it'll be a major surprise if this is finally his big day.

Forecasts
Orioninverness (4/1), Hattons Hill (5/1), Apache Pilot (13/2), Under The Red Sky (8/1), No Such Number (8/1), Medal Of Freedom (8/1), Verko (10/1), Trouble In Paris (12/1), Red Story (12/1), Major Ridge (14/1), Lilly's Legend (16/1), Longueville Flier (18/1), Frank The Slink (20/1), Castley Lane (20/1), I Know The Code (22/1), Daydream Island (50/1), Robin Will (50/1)
A re-run of last month's 2m4f contest with the 1-2-3-4 of Orioninverness, Under The Red Sky, Verko and Trouble In Paris all present and correct. The winner looks comfortably the most straightforward of that 'bunch' and a subsequent 6lb rise looks of little real concern now that his jumping errors have been seemingly eradicated. However, the presence of HATTONS HILL is a major obstacle for Orioninverness to overcome, with the Henry Hoggarth trained dual C&D winner proving a revelation since fitted with cheek-pieces, and he's a confident selection despite the big field which is rather padded out with four runners from the Micky Hammond yard.
