Has on occasions not looked the easiest ride (reared and unseated his rider on debut) but did improve to win a 6f novice stakes at Carlisle on his third start. Still unexposed especially stepping up in trip on his first foray into a handicap.

Most of her best form has come with cut in the ground and conditions may prove a little quick here. Handicap form so far reads 6254 and looks to need a strongly run race to show her best and even off this mark may have a few pounds too many.

One of quite a few winners that this yard have produced during their current warm spell taking a mile handicap at Redcar off a mark of 63. That run was greatly improved form and she looked well suited to the trip. Runs off a 6lb higher mark here and even though the yard remains in good form she will have to improve again to win off the revised mark.

Showed some ability on three maiden starts without really threatening to win one. Handicap debut on the AW was way below par and he was subsequently gelded. Now returns after a break in his second try in a handicaps and needs to find more.

Dual winner in nurseries at the backend of last year at Newcastle over 7f and a mile off marks of 56 and 61 (first two starts in handicaps). Has returned with a couple of creditable runs in handicaps (again on the AW) but looks as though he may find these marks in the mid-60's beyond him.

Dropped into claiming company to get off the mark over 1m2f at Chelmsford in February. Finished a sound third on his handicap debut last time out but not especially well handicapped off his current mark and may find a couple that are too good again here.

Three runs in maidens over 5f probably weren't what he needed and he duly showed much better form over 7f on his first run in a handicap. Ran poorly on his last start as a juvenile and needs to bounce back here on his second start over a mile.

Looked to show better form when switched nurseries as a juvenile and was going the right way over this trip. His second on his final start showed him in the best light with the winner looking to be an improving sort. Given how this yard have started the season it's not hard to seeing him show even better as a three-year-old off a lowly mark.

Forecasts

Miss Sheridan (7/2), Ronnie The Rooster (4/1), Reinstorm (4/1), Showdance Kid (5/1), Miss Bates (15/2), Pennington (9/1), Critical Thinking (12/1), True Romance (14/1), Ray Donovan (20/1)

Verdict

A few in this division of the three-year-old handicap to consider with Reinstorm entering the equation given the form of the yard along with another potential improver in True Romance. Miss Sheridan another from an in-form yard may well find this tougher but should make a bold bid to follow-up her Redcar win. The most interesting candidate though looks to be handicap debutante SHOWDANCE KID who looks full of potential and could well enjoy this mile trip.
  1. Showdance Kid
  2. Reinstorm
  3. Miss Sheridan
