Paying the price for her consistency with the handicapper unable to drop her the pound or two that would make the difference. Tackles this trip for the first time. Pedigree and style of running suggest there is merit in that move.
Made significant progress last season and was a winner on turf here off a slightly lower mark. Not disgraced subsequently off higher marks at Epsom and in a much better race than this in November. Will be better for a recent spin at Lingfield and has strong possibilities now dropped 2lb.
Lightly raced filly who has thrived in recent weeks. Winner on tapeta and fibresand and not disgraced on fast ground at Bath last time off this mark. Sure to give a good account but would prefer to see the yard bagging more winners than is the case at present.
Shock winner at Sandown last term on seasonal debut. A string of placed efforts since leave her on a career high mark. Stays on well and has given the impression she may need a stiffer finish than is the case here.
Former Godolphin horse who showed promise as a juvenile but has evidently had issues since. Made no show on return to action and best watched until market signals are positive. Tries a new trip here.
Not disgraced on reappearance when denied a clear run. Should improve for that first run since September but concerning that best form has been over further.
Forecasts
Star Of Lombardy (10/11), Kath's Legacy (7/2), Inke (9/2), Rum Swizzle (12/1), First Experience (12/1), Impressive Day (25/1)
Star Of Lombardy is in good order and makes a quick return following a gallant defeat at Bath on Friday. She will be hard to beat but INKE appeals having been given a chance by the handicapper. A 2lb drop in the weights following her Chelmsford reappearance has left her just 1lb higher than her last winning mark. Performances here and at Epsom last year suggest she is better suited to this style of track and she is marginally preferred at these weights. Rum Swizzle was not disgraced last time but the drop in trip is a concern. In contrast First Experience tackles this trip for the first time. She has been found wanting for pace over shorter recently. A middle-distance pedigree suggests she could do better now and she rates a danger.
